Die Benutzung gestaltete sich viel umständlicher, als gedacht. Keine brauchbare Anleitung dabei.

This tripod ball head has been handy for panning and tilting our cameras/phones as we've created videos. It's very well made and has worked out well for our needs, allowing for minor adjustments without repositioning our tripod.

With a roughly 1-1/2” Ball, I personally wouldn’t categorize this as “Mini,” when there are plenty of Ball Heads available with balls less that 1”. That said, I would categorize the Manbily Mini Ball Tripod Head as a terrific value, especially with a Ball of its size. The machining, finish and tolerances are impressive and the black and red anodized aluminum colorway is eye-catching; it has the look, feel and preciousness of quality workmanship. Furthermore, at 435 grams, just under a pound, it’s light weight makes it ideal for carrying on location. If I had a wish, though, it would be that the handle had a quick release. This would make the head that much more convenient to transport.Adjustability and orientation are, basically, infinite and with the added convenience of its Arca style QR plate, easy to use. On the body of the Manbily are three knobs: A ball locking knob, one for adjusting the dampening of the balls movements and a third, smaller one for locking/unlocking the rotation of the head along a calibrated reference scale. The upper, QR plate base, can also be rotated independently and is released or locked using the red lever. The QR plate is clamped in and tightened with the knob next to it. The seller refers to an adjustable grip, but it is hex screwed to the top plate of the head, so I am assuming they are referring to the correlation of its movements to that of the ball.In use, no matter what tension I used to adjust the dampening of the ball, it was never quite absolutely smooth through all of its movements. I can feel a slight amount of variance in the rolling tension as the head is reoriented. In my opinion it doesn’t interfere with the accurate positioning of an attached camera and is acceptable given the price point of the Manbily. The locked state of the Ball Head is secure but takes more than the finger tightening of more expensive ball heads. Again, acceptable and not a real issue in practical use. And although the included instructions delineate one of the larger knobs on the body is used for tensioning and the other for locking, in practice I found that they are interchangeable for those uses. The degree calibrated pan adjustment of the base is very smooth and has a nice dampening to the movement. Same for panning of the upper base plate, and both have tight, secure locking. The Manibly Ball Head comes with those thoughtful accessories that can be viewed on its Amazon page. These included two QR plates that makes switching out camera bodies convenient and quick, a mobile phone clamp that can be attached to a QR plate and two 3/8” to 1/4” screw in adaptors that allow you to attach the Ball Head directly to your current tripod head, as you would a camera. This makes it handy for a quick switch between tripod heads. That is the arrangement I use and is shown in the included pictures. In my opinion and experience using the Manbily Mini Ball Tripod Head, it is a very good value at its price point and can bring added convenience to an image making workflow. For these reasons and, moreover, my impression that the seller has represented it without exaggeration on the Amazon point of purchase page, I’ve given it 5-Stars.

The Manbily Ball Head is targeted towards amateur, aspiring photographers... and it provides a good mix of features and value to satisfy most of those in that target market. As someone who owns some high-end heads - it's difficult not to judge the economy models somewhat harshly... so I'll try to be gentle. The head is intended for use with smaller cameras, so the quick release plate is small but appropriate for the application. The plate has end stops to help protect your camera from falling if the clamp gets loose and the plate starts to slide. The ball, itself, is a little rough to get positioned properly... and uses two clamps rather than one of which to secure the ball. I'm sure that this provides enough security - but a better, single clamp would be preferable. As a result, this ball head seems more intended for panoramic shooting where the ball does not need to be adjusted during the image sequence capture. The base of the head has a nicely dampened collar with global positioning markers every 5 degrees and numerical references every 30 degrees. It also has a screw lock to secure it. Sadly, the lower portion does not have a bubble level, so using the lower portion to use for panoramas might be difficult if the tripod isn't on level ground. There is a bubble level on the top mount that holds the quick release plate - so the head is still useful when the tripod it not on level ground... but there are no numerical references to accompany the positioning markers - and the markers are just under the top mount making them difficult to see.The handle that is attached to the top mount is not easy to remove... and it's certainly not designed to be routinely removed - which also reinforces my belief that this head is intended primarily for panoramic image capture. The head is designed to accommodate portrait orientation as the lower portion is notched to allow the top mount to swing down 90 degrees. Another bubble level mounted on the side of the top mount can then be used to level the head. While there are shortcomings to this setup - there remains many features of which someone can make good use without breaking the bank. Panoramic sequences can be tricky to get perfect even when using high-end gear - and this is a good place to start the learning process.
