The quick gear disengage wheel is extremely stiff. I reached out to the company to discuss if this was a common issue, but never received a reply.Also, geared heads no longer appear on their website, which makes me think they no longer sell or support them.

Nice design but the arca connection isn't tight enough and feels like it can easily slip out with some arca plates

Had been looking for a somewhat affordable geared head for some time.Read and researched a lot and that's where Artcise came into the picture.Still had doubts and investigated other things but Artcise got the benefit of the doubt from me.What a nice geared head to work with, turns smoothly and can be adjusted accurately.Qualitatively a very nice and robust product that is very nice to work with.All Arca Swiss plates clamp well, without any movement.The product is well packed in a nylon bag and comes complete with everything.I hang the nylon bag on my backpack, and that way everything is easy to handle.Still there was an issue, I contacted Artcise about that and everything was resolved quickly and to my complete satisfaction.Many manufacturers can still learn a lot from the quality, the price, and the service that Artcise provides.

I found the quality of this head to be very good, it looks and feels well made. The pitch and yaw controls are quite tight but operable with one hand at the time of writing. However the horizontal pan movement is far too stiff, the viscosity of the grease used internally means I have to use both hands to move it around otherwise the head unscrews from the base column of my tripod. It's Summer now so relatively warm but I am very concerned what making any adjustments will be like when it's cold
