Needed a lightweight head for video away from home. This is certainly light enough and I think it's smooth - but that is hard to tell because the arm is very short. My plan is to get an extender for it then I think it'll be prefect.

I've been shopping around for a portable tilt/pan head for some time. This one is perfect. Great companion for my Olympus E-PL5 and the Omegon LX2 star tracker. It's light weight sturdy and well built. Pan and tilt functions very smoothly. It's a bit smaller than expected but, that's a big plus for me. I highly recommend this product for micro four thirds cameras.

I was hesitating to purchase it due to the total lack of reviews, but after trying two different designs of small light heads, decided to try. So, :1. The lightest of all I tried;2. General quality is very good; all metal;3. Very smooth and it is counterbalancing the fact that vertical movement is a little too easy with resistance on the low side (camcorder "dives" if knob is not tightened); resistance on vertical and horizontal movements is not the same, but close enough to provide comfortable operation;4. Handle is comfortable, rubberized (non-slip), small/compact, and easily attached/detached (big plus); it can be used back/front, left/right due to the 4 different holes (pleasant extra flexibility);5. Contrary to the description on Amazon site, label on the box indicates 17.6 lbs/8.0 kg max load (did not test myself yet).6. There are two bubble levels: one is on the top (almost useless, but can be not-critical convenient extra, what is nice), and one -- on the foundation (as it should be);7. It is a modest product, but quite unique combination of several seemingly small features provides promising operational setting if one looks for the small/light fluid video head.Thank you.

I really want to like this video tripod head, it's built really well and small so it was easy to carry. The thing is it won't hold up a fairly big setup. I took it out to a shoot and the camera and lens combo I had on it was too heavy, it's was only about 5lbs. and the video head kept drooping down because the lens was too heavy for the video head.if you have a small set up, sony fuji. it would probably be perfectly for you.
