This uses foam instead of rubber to grip your lens. It's also too thin, so the aluminum frame ended up clamping to my lens body. Fortunately, the lens body is anodized instead of painted, so the damage was minimal. The paint on the mount didn't fare as well, and I can see bare silver where the paint scraped off.I may be able to salvage this mount if I can find the right size rubber strip.

I really like the idea of a collar ring with an arca-swiss foot. I wish all lens manufacturers would just do the same (some do now, hopefully Canon will follow suit.) This particular collar, however, didn't do a good jobs. First, the arca-swiss foot is attached in the incorrect orientation. It needs to be detached and pointed in the opposite direction! If you don't do this and try to attached the collar, you'd definitely cause some damage to the lens barrel. But if you do this (you'd have to), the screw knob will be on the right side of the lens, which could potentially interfere with your grip.The screw knob is large. In a way that's good because it'll be easier to grip and twist. It is non-captive, meaning you'd have to remove it entirely from the collar to remove the collar. I could imagine it getting lost. (The Canon version is captive.)In terms of weight, this collar is 32g heavier. But to be fair, it has a built-in arca-swiss foot, whereas you'd have to add one to the Canon's.Finally, the curvature of the portion of the ring that flips out is too tight. You'd have to flex it wider to fit it around the lens. This has high potential to scratch the lens barrel.This product design definitely wasn't tested at all, it seems.

Generell finde ich den Mount Adapter für das Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM gut, vor allem die integrierte Arca-Swiss Halterung ist sehr praktisch. Beim Original muss man eine zusätzliche Schnellwechselplatte anbringen, was es unhandlich macht. Es wäre allerdings schöner gewesen, wenn der Adapter in Weiß erhältlich wäre, um besser zum Objektiv zu passen. In puncto Funktionalität ist er jedoch ausgezeichnet.

i hadn't noticed in the product photos but if you look closely you can see even in the official photos the surface of the mount is very messy looking, i'm not an expert on anodising by any stretch but looking it up online seems to indicate that it's probably not been done very well to get this finish. it looks like it's dirty/greasy which is a little annoying I think.cosmetic appearance aside though it seems to work ok and does its job.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.In terms of quality, it appears to have been well-made - the construction is robust, and has a sleek, brushed-metal finish. All of the moving components have a smooth action. The collar in particular can open up very widely, allowing for hassle-free placing, or removing the lens. I felt that the thumb-screw mechanism in particular was very ergonomic - it's not 'spiky', and can be turned easily in whichever direction you happen to want at the time. Finally, the Arca-Swiss plate is super handy - no need to purchase any additional accessories.In summary, a good value item.
