A mains cable will take longer to fit at the outset, but will save so much hassle in the longrun. For us this was also a peace of mind issue, as it was to connect up a camera on my parent's house which was beyond their reach, and I didn't want tot hink tha tthey might be getting out ladders or worse, just a chair, trying to reach the camera to charge the battery every time it ran out.Blink cameras are great, but if you want to access any of the more useful features then you inevitably end up draining your battery surprisingly quickly, as they're all power-hungry. This isn't so much of an issue if you can easily reach and remove the camera, but it does become a problem if you have the camera boyind normal reach. It does also seem to magically but inevitably happen at the most inopportune of times, like when you're away for the weekend or something.This is a good solution, giving you the chance to power the camera directly from the mains, though you do need a charger plug to connect to you socket (USB-A).I would mention that it doesn't come beautifully neatly could as the images show either--it's just a huge run of roughly looped bacle with some connectors in a ploastic bag.A very useful item though. I would say that this is also only 10m long, so you're going to have to have a socket reasonably close to where the camera is, as if it's ten foot up a wall you've already lost almost three meters just in height. In terms of price ofr the length of cable, this does seem on hte steep side. However, ti works well, so is worth considering.

A good long cable to suit blink cameras - comes with seals to suit most versions. Very pleased as I can now turn up the resolution, increase recording time, adjust the sensitivity and forget about it running out of power (which I can guarantee would be at the most inappropriate time).
