These work great and I got two because the two-pack was not much more cost than one. The display is very easy to read and if you know anything about basic electricity these are very easy to use and understand. First thing I was curious about was how many amps & watts the electric heaters and window AC unit were using. I discovered that my electric heaters that are a few years old are not using 1500 watts, but less, and the AC window unit was more efficient that the specifications say it is. Now I know why one 1500 watt heater is giving off less heat than another 1500 watt heater. Most folks should have one of these in whatever type housing they live in. If some electrical device you are using is drawing less or more than it is supposed to you should check it carefully or have some experienced electrician check it out. I disposed of the 1500 watt (rated) heater than was using just 1000 watts and bought a new one that really does use 1500 watts. Big improvement in heating a bedroom with the new heater.

Got a pair of these to use for monitoring/measuring wattage consumption for various appliances and devices in our house, prior to having a generator switch installed in our house. In order to determine the branches to power through the generator switch box and how much each branch will consume for the total wattage and capacity of our generator, these two plug in monitors are proving to be worth their weight in gold! The display is crisp, the text sharp and easy to read and the backlight display, when needed, is a huge plus. The assorted options available for settings and view of volts, amps, watts, watt-hours, electrical cost factor, etc, are also excellent.Delighted with these and I might be ordering one more to monitor another major appliance we'd be using during a power-outage and generator use.My only regret is not being able to monitor 240 volt appliances like our oven/range and dryer, but, I'm searching for one specifically for this and if they're available, I'll consider getting one of those as well.As for these wattage monitors, delighted with their performance and the reasonable cost per unit. 5 Stars all around!

For those looking for a Kill-a-Watt type of device, this is a very good substitute. It's backlit, so it's highly readable when it's dark, fits into a wall or power strip socket snugly, is well-built, and has additional features, like tracking price over time. Overall, very easy to use and a great product to track power usage!

Nice, inexpensive device. Very useful. 4-5 stars except for these negatives:1. Some controls and settings are virtually impossible to access unless you have the instructions. Not intuitive at all.2. If you want to know how much power your device uses in an hour, day, week, month, etc you must write down when you plug it in and when you unplug it. The meter will not give you that information. It only tells you how many minutes, hours, days, etc. your device is running. e.g. If your fridge, AC, or heater cycles on and off, it will tell you how many minutes, hours, days, it's been running, not how many days the appliance has been plugged in. You might have it plugged in for a week and the meter might say "3 days" because that's how long your appliance ran since you plugged it in.I've been using two of these every day for a couple months. I love the large bright blue display. You can have the screen on all the time or turn it off. By default the screen turns off after 10 minutes. Good purchase if you want to measure electricity usage.

I love these as a way to estimate your electric usage, I had a cluster of network equipment (a few switches, access point, router, etc) that didn't collectively register a high enough wattage for their UPS to display it (it had a tendency to just read 0 watts until the total was over about 75w), so this gave me a better idea. Since the load on the UPS has increased and now always shows the usage, I've moved it around the house to keep an eye on the various things that I'm curious about.I have a couple of small complaints: I would love it if the rounded part on the bottom would spin independently of the display, allowing me to orient the outlet port any way I see fit. For example, if you ever try to put this on a power strip that's oriented vertically, the whole range of plugs above the one you're trying to measure is now useless. Some kind of articulation would be great. That leads to my second thing, the display itself is very bulky, so it's really only useful on a wall outlet, and even then, only on the top outlet unless you don't mind blocking the top outlet with the display. Again, the ability to rotate the plug to position the display sideways or upside down would help with this, as would making the display itself thinner and/or smaller. Finally, an option to change the brightness and leave the backlight on all the time would be great. I could just set it to a low brightness and leave the backlight on all the time. It's usually in a harder to reach spot when I use it, and there isn't enough light on it to clearly see without the backlight. So I end up having to either contort myself into a spot where I can reach the button whenever I want a reading, or I have to use a flashlight to see the display, which defeats the purpose of having the backlight in the first place.
