Ich kann dazu nur sagen, super. Die scheibe ist zwar. Ein bisschen dick und groß, dass Messer versinkt, was da drin. Aber trotzdem. Die klinge. hat eine sehr gute schärfe, und eine superspitze. Preis Leistung ist gegeben

Beautiful and well made. The handle has a good fit in the hand. The bone inlay has beautiful color. The blade is very sharp and thicker than I expected. Over all the knife has very good fit and finish. The balance point is at the top of the handle.

Das Messer wurde schnell binnen 3 Tage geliefert, ist schwer und wirkt sehr massiv! Die lanzenartige Klinge ist ist sehr scharf, spitz und sehr schön gearbeitet! Der Griff schimmert interessant türkis und ist ebenfalls sauber gearbeitet! Es macht fast ein wenig den Eindruck eines langen, kunstvoll gearbeiteten, mittelalterlichen Dolches! Gleich ein wenig Schwertöl drauf...! Um den bezahlten Preis darf man sich natürlich keine Wunder erwarten - die Klinge ist bestimmt nicht aus sehr teurem Damaszenerstahl sondern aus günstigem Damast-Laminat. Das Muster geht eben nicht ganz bis ins Ende der Schneidkanten! Negativ fiel mir nur auf, dass das Messer viel zu lose in der, an sich sehr schönen,hochwertigen und auch speziell für diesen Dolch gefertigten Scheide sitzt (die Scheide ist anders als jene auf den Fotos bei Amazon)! Massenware aber alles in allem ein edel wirkendes aber sehr günstiges Sammlerstück! Hab große Freude damit!

Das Messer wäre sehr schön, wenn der Griff nicht außer Mitte wäre und versucht worden wäre, das mit Nachschleifen auszugleichen. Dadurch wirkt das Messer wie Ausschuß.

I was a bit apprehensive knowing this is a Pakistani made knife as I'd heard about certain issues with some of their blades. Glad to say I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a full tang knife with a beautiful handle and damascus blade that just looks great. The sheath is of excellent construction and looks great although the snap loop is a touch loose, but it is hardly a deal breaker as it is preferable to too tight. This is more of show piece than anything else, but if ever it was needed for its intended purpose it would have the heft, solidity and sharpness to do the job. There are slight imperfections and I do mean very slight ones here and there that are the charm of a handmade blade. Overall even if it will only serve as an oversized letter opener or conversation piece it is a fantastic value for $65.00.

OK IT (my 5th Perkin) ARRIVED TODAY. Had to wait to open package with my wife. She likes the ritual of soaking in such a visual treat and well made piece of artwork as much as me, so I wait to enjoy its arrival together. This is another (practically) perfect knife from Perkin. Perkin= Perfect? No, but the quirks, irregularities are SMALL and a charming sign of being hand crafted. NOT a negative. IT IS full tang. The handle is bolted to either side of the blade which is sandwiched between the buffalo bone and bolsters to the very end. It has size and heft. The damascus blade (or what passes for real damascus nowadays) is beautiful. Rich lines, surreal interlocking patterns everywhere. Blade composition is available, I don't bother with that here. Look it up. It is SUPER hard, good, cold steel. Beyond Sharp, needle-like tip. The Blue dye Perkin uses to color the Buffalo Bone is LUSH, DEEP and RICH. Knife is 12 inches overall. Perkin is usually a little weak on their dimensions when describing. I worry the prices will sky-rocket someday, or by being manufactured BY HAND in Pakistan, political turbulence may disrupt the flow to Great Britain. All 4 knives I have reviewed for them have SOLD OUT within a week of my review. Now THIS is "unavailable" unfortunately for knife lovers. So you can't get this one for now. Well, I don't know how much more I can exclaim their greatness. At about $75-100 per knife, this is the common collectors chance to own hand crafted greatness. Birthday and Christmas about over...Gotta go look around the house for something to sell or pawn, in order to get another one of these, while the gettins still good. Peace.

This is a very beautifully made knife; the Damascus steel blade has just enough twist to show that it is a truly hand-made work of art and not a mass-produced stamped out piece. The handle is beautiful and well fitted to the blade. Just a couple of observations, though: the handle is very smooth, even slippery. Coupled with the fact that there's no hilt, use care; the blade is razor-sharp! Also, the sheath included with the knife seems a bit of an afterthought; it's decently made, but a poor fit for the knife - seems like it was an extra, made for some other knife. Shipping to the states was much faster than expected, and the knife was well packaged. Wouldn't hesitate to do business again...
