This perch is great for my Galah's health and at this price is a bargain. I ordered three more after I saw the first perch.

Elvis the parakeet needed something more than cuttlebone to keep his beak properly groomed. I installed the yellow colored perch a week ago and he loves to work out his beak by scraping this perch. It’s a little soft, like plaster so he can scrape some off and for some reason that interests him. It’s just what he needed. I highly recommend for parakeets.

I decided to buy a variety of these for my cockatiel. The mini and small are perfect, the 12 inch gives him a place where he can rest his feet (it's oblong in shape so depending on the way I hang it, it's either a wide flat surface or another perch). At the widest, his feet get to rest, but his toes and nails do curl over the edge so I think it works out well.**** Update **** the colour washes off, not a fan of the dye. Also, the xlarge is too big for a cockatiel - he uses it a lot but whether I have the perch on its slender side or on its widest side, poop gets all over it. Small is perfect though.

I purchased this for my rescue Cockatoo. She has longer nails and I wanted something to help wear them down in addition to nail trims. This perch is very heavy and sturdy. I got her the large size and it is bigger than expected. Seems very well made and will hopefully last awhile. The only complain I have is that I received a pink one and the color comes off on her feet. Not a big deal, but annoying to have pink getting on everything.
