What I liked most about this dinnerware set is the quality from a leading mfg Hampton Forge. I originally purchased only the spoons. When the spoons arrived, I decided to go ahead and purchase the entire set which included the spoons. The inlay in the quality of the dinnerware give it a high-quality look and feel. Much nicer that what you would purchase at your local discount store.

I wasn't too impressed when I unboxed this set, but after seeing how budget-friendly this set is, there aren't any others better. I had no idea Hampton Forge was a division of Lenox, and this set has a 25 year warranty. So if something does happen, I'm sure Lenox will still be in business to honor.My complaints are: The edges on each piece are a little sharp. They aren't very shiny. And it seems to me that all the spoons are a little shallower than most.Positives: Each piece is balanced well. The knives are serrated on one side and not on the other. And they're a step above the silverware you'd find at a cheap Chinese buffet.This is a nice starter set if you're on a budget. Believe me, I've seen worse flatware. OTOH, this set in no way compares to my 40 year old Oneida flatware that my Mom handed down to me that I still use, minus a few spoons that disappeared.

The silverware appears to be nice quality. Stamped on them is Hampton Forge with a Patent symbol and Stainless China 025. This silverware is slightly lighter that the stuff I have, but I was looking for something similar that would blend in with what I have as you can see in the photo. The silverware weighs in at about 160 grams compared to the nickel silverware that I have, which is 170 grams. The silverware seems durable when I put some pressure on it and try to bend it a little, it does not bend. The knife is serrated on one edge about fifty percent of the blade length away from the handle portion. As you can see the packaging it really durable. Each of the silverware items are attached using plastic ties, which I used a diagonal cutter to remove. The rest of the silverware are wrapped in plastic with a rubber bands behind the cardboard front as you can see in the photo. The directions for cleaning are written in English, French and Spanish. I would say it's a nice starter set for someone, or a young couple.

This set feels sturdy and of generally good quality. The brand is stamped on the back of the handles for all pieces except the knives. Those have the brand stamped on the blades.I performed a close inspection of all of the pieces (see pictures). The only imperfections were:-A tiny knick at the base of one of the blades.-Some spots in the finish on the back of a spoon (won’t clean off)Considering the current asking price and the very minor nature of the flaws, I would consider these a good value for the current asking price. They are presented nicely for gifting.

These utensils are completely functional. Nothing wrong with them at all.That said, I thought that the plain style of the handles would be offset by the "Ginger Mirror" (not totally sure what that means) and I expected that they would be shinier, and nicer looking in that way. But no, these are pretty plain. They aren't quite pewter-like with a completely dull look, but they aren't particularly shiny either. They're just kind of... there.
