This flamingo rain gauge looks wonderful in my front yard. Over the past few years I have collected several flamingo objects for my front yard but was missing a rain gauge. I saw this and I knew it needed to be in my front yard. I don’t know if my husband appreciates all the pink flamingos, but this one is simply adorable and it provides a function of measuring rain. I made the mistake of putting it too far under the eaves of the house so I had to move it out to have an accurate rain measurement.

This rain gauge is really cute! I love flamingos, so it was a no brainer for me to get this item. I live in PA, so I figured I can definitely make use of a rain gauge. This was super easy to put together. It actually came with an additional rod that I decided not to use, but that rod could be used to make this slightly taller than it is in my picture. The lights are solar powered and surprisingly very bright at night, which is actually perfect because our walkway is a little difficult to maneuver in the dark (not too bright that it would bother neighbors). Overall, I think this product is very cute and exceeded my exceptions as far as quality. Definitely would recommend!

This range gauge is cute and very practical. We finally had some massive thunderstorms and I was able to track how much we got. It has solar lights on the trim that shine at night. It is sturdy and stakes into the ground easily. It looks really good in the garden.

Was very pleased with Flamingo rain gauge. Numbers are large and easy to read even from a distant. Adds charm to any lawn or garden. It’s beautiful and complements my flower garden. I would purchase again.

Cute heron rain gauge - note that it's best installed where the back cannot be seen. So best in a garden bed that's alongside a wall, fence, building etc. I have it currently in a center circle - but I'll have to move it since people on the other side of the circle will look across and see the 'backside' of the glass/lights/solar thing. Obviously it also has to be positioned so that sun falls on the solar pod on the back. The heron is quite cute. It's on a thin pole, that screws together like most of these type of rain gauges. The base has a double spike, which is about the minimum for sturdiness. Personally, I would prefer to have a pole twice as thick diameter and a tripod or quad fork to insert into the ground. If you have windy conditions like I do - and sandy soil, you'll have to be careful where you put this. So far, it's stayed up right for me. The 'glass' rain gauge is not glass (all my others are borosilicate glass). That makes it light, but the weight is offset by the added glass panel on the heron I think. It IS pretty nice looking from the path at night. The pictures pretty much are accurate for the product, but note that the size of the heron is not lifesize (it's smaller). It is working well. Functions like I expect it to, and is bright enough at night to be seen in the garden.
