First off, thias is NOT a chromecasting device (Ive tested and it doesnt work!) so there are certain apps that you can't cast to this device, you'll need a chromecast supported device for that, I will explain all below, but basically, its a screen sharing device that has its own app to share the screen, or a single app, you do this through a PROPRIETARY APP called EZCAST, you download it by scanning a QR code on the TV screen when you first set it up.(they claim that it can be used without the app but I have not been successful in setting this up without the ezcast app)Why 5 stars?I gave this 5 stars because it does what I wanted it to do, which is to screenshare while watching Udemy tutorials on my TV. I'm not sure if this was just a lucky course I am on, but I dont think it has the same DRM as the apps I will talk about next:Apps that is does not work on (streaming video services)This includes Full screen sharing and "share a single app" functions:Amazon Prime Video - Audio Only - Black Screen on TVDisney+ - Audio Only - Black Screen on TVITVX - Adverts played on TV - Video only, but the main feature black screened on the TV (again possibly DRM protection from screen sharing)Other likely fails (but untested) will beNetflix (untested but likely to also fail)Paramount+ etcI dont have those accounts so couldnt test, but im pretty sure they run the same type of DRM that prevents screen sharing while watching films / TV series etc, so if your buying it for this reason, you will be wasting your money, find another device that supports Chromecast.Bottom line, this isnt a chromecasting device, screensharing is not allowed for DRM protected content.Most of these services have some sort of DRM that blocks screen sharing, in my case, Amazon Prime and DisneyPlus played audio only on the TV.Its also worth noting that I did also try to "cast to this device" with the cast icon, in the Disney+, ITVX and Prime Video apps natively, but they could not detect this device, confirming my suspicion that this was NOT a chromecast supported device. This is OK for me and it doesnt lose any stars to that, as I kind of expected that when I bought it, but would have been very nice and convenient if they did, as I have an older Smart TV that doesnt have Disney+ in its appstore. But Hey ho I didnt buy it for that.Apps that worked:YoutubeMost all of my games, most notably: Minecraft Hill Climb Racing Getaway 2 Chess.com The Tower Fallout Shelter Udemy - the main reason I purchased this device - Video only but does what I need it to do.Would seem like the ideal sort of device for presenting on for example a powerpoint slideshow etc or for using as a dashboard for some app you have, for me, I use it for watching Udemy Classes on a larger screen from my mobile and it works great for that, heres how I do it1. open the EZCAST app2. Click on find device icon3. Click the burger menu4. Click Mirror5. Choose App or Full Screen6. Open Udemy7. Watch a class8. Turn up the volume a bit on the phone (Audio and video on phone, but video only on TV)This suits my needs, Hope this helps inform your buying decision.

J'ai acheté un écran portable de 15 pouces que j'emporte dans mon sac. J'utilise ce dongle pour afficher le contenu de mon smartphone sur cet écran (car la prise USB-C de mon téléphone ne supporte pas le partage d'écran même avec un dongle adapté ; à mes souvenirs il faut de l'USB-C 3.0 ou 3.1 pour pouvoir brancher un écran directement sur le smartphone, et le mien est en 2.0).Ça fonctionne très bien, et la résolution est correcte. Et depuis mon portable, j'utilise l'application Steam Link (ou tout autre appareil de contrôle à distance depuis le portable) pour contrôler mon ordinateur à distance. Et en utilisant un dongle pour contrôler le portable à l'aide d'un clavier et une souris, ça me permet d'avoir mon ordinateur fixe où que j'aille.Conseil : vérifiez le mode de connexion entre le dongle et votre appareil depuis l'application dédiée. J'avais connecté le dongle au réseau Wi-Fi local, mais la connexion se faisait à travers Internet, ce qui causait des latences et des coupures plus fréquentes à l'affichage. En vérifiant dans les options de l'application, j'ai pu activer une option qui permet de passer directement par le réseau local, dans la mesure où le dongle et le portable étaient connectés sur le même réseau par Wi-Fi

Das Gerät ist schneller als mein bisheriger den ich für Präsentation benutzt habe. Dadurch dass an dem Kabel auch noch eine Antenne vorhanden ist, kann man auch aus weiterer Entfernung eine Funkverbindung mit dem PC herstellen.

とにかく簡単に接続できます。ミラーリング機器は初めてですが、感覚的に設定できます。iphoneと本体の電波接続→本体とwifi接続→iphone本体でミラーリングできれいにTVに映ります。設定の進捗状況はTV右上に出ますのでわかりやすいです。日本語の説明書が添付されています。

The problem with such a streaming device is that the demands on it are high and that it depends on its environment.What was my aim ? : My aim to see a video which my computer (Macintosh or iPad) streams from the web directly on the TV. The perfect device for this is an AppleTV. However I wanted a small portable device which does the same.The requirements: The requirements are very high. Without a strong wireless network nothing will go. I wanted to stream a video to my computer and stream the screen from the computer to the TV. This is a very high load for the wireless network. Without a strong network you can not expect this to work.The first attempt: With factory settings everything work after having followed the handbook - but the video on the TV was not (!) running continuously.The solution: My first attempt to reduce the video resolution in the settings of the EZCast2 had no effect (which was interesting). The solution was reduce the frequency setting in the Wifi connection of EZCast2 from 80 mHz to 20 mHz. I really don't know what this means - whether this made the device more harmoniously cooperating with my local WiFi but this solved the issue. Video streaming from computer and iPad ultimately worked.Resume: Since this device is made for a large selection of devices, Windows PC, Android tablets and their Mac counterparts and because it is completely dependent on the local WiFi one can not expect that it works out-of-the-box like an AppleTV (with Mac equipment only). I expected that I would need to invest some time in optimisation but I am now completely satisfied that it essentially fulfilled my request to be a small AppleTV like device which I can easily transport. And that it even works with a 4 year old iPad is really nice considering the high demands on the network.P.S. Even the EZCast2 has a reset button, even though it is hidden under a plastic film (which you have to pinch through with a paper clip) - that comes in handy when you experiment with the WiFi settings of the device. (I needed it ;-))

Die Inbetriebnahme war einfach, in den hdmi Slot stecken, und mittels QR Code die zugehörige App herunterladen.Die App läuft aber sehr instabil und stürzt minütlich ab. Habe die App auf mehreren Geräten installiert und getestet. Leider immer mit dem gleichen Ergebnis.Häufig bekommt die App nach dem Neustart keine Verbindung zum EZCast, bzw erst nach mehrfachem Verbinden und Trennen.Alles in Allem bleibt so die Freude am neuen Produkt auf der Strecke. Werde es zurücksenden und mich nach einem anderen Hersteller umsehen.

Der Stick kam gewohnt schnell und ordendlich verpackt an.Ein Netzteil ist nicht enthalten.Ich wollte das Gerät nutzen um Videos von meinem Handy oder Tablet auf einem Beamer anschauen zu können.Mit lokal auf dem Gerät gespeicherten Videodateien funktioniert das auch ganz passabel (pixelbrei bei schnellen Szenen). Daher einen Stern.Leider wird nativ weder die Netflix-App, noch die Prime Video-App unterstützt.Eine Spiegelung des Bildschirms überträgt ausschließlich das Interface. Weder das Video noch der Ton werden übertragen.Damit ist das Gerät für den geplanten Einsatzzweck untauglich.Youtube funktioniert zwar (wenn auch nicht mit der entsprechenden App, sondern im EZCast-Browser - die Bildqualität ist allerdings mieserabel (~400p an einer 50.000kbit/s-Leitung und 100Mbit-Wlan).Evtl ist es wenigstens zum Zeigen von Powerpoint-Präsentationen geeignet... Das werde ich demnächst noch ausprobieren.Das Konzept wäre genial. Die Umsetzung ist es leider nicht.Alles in allem ein teures aber kaum brauchbares Spielzeug. Finger weg! :(

The initial setup using the app didn't even work.I had to connect my laptop to the wifi created by the stick and use the web ui to set it up.You can't turn off the stick wifi ever. Even when it's connected to your home wifi the stick wifi will still be running and it'll tunnel the internet connection of your own network. Since the firmware (and the chipset) is proprietary and you can't audit the network adapter, this is a huge security risk.Even after the stick was set up I can't use the app (which is just a dumb proxy for youtube as it seems).When not using the app, the stick is not able to stream youtube videos in hd without buffering every five seconds of video for at least twenty seconds. I have a 1 gbit/s connection to the internet so it's not caused by a slow connection.Youtube is also the only thing that works. I have a media center running locally that can do AirPlay and DLNA, both are not working with the stick (it shows connected in the client but the stick doesn't play anything and just shows the "home screen".Additionally the stick is shining blue really bright which is annoying at night.If you read this: Please don't buy this garbage. It's totally not worth it.
