Beautiful and sturdy. It allows my mom to see the rain level from far away since it has a large gauge. I like that you can easily take the gauge out to dump or clean it. Some reviews talk about how the gauge sits on top of the wing nut, but it doesn’t affect it at all.

I was excited to receive this rain gauge. The appearance and weight of the metal is good, and the glass beaker is good, but upon assembling the design flaws become apparent. The flower petals interfere with the welding that holds the hummingbird, and the bolt can't be tightened because it will not sit flush. With the flower pointed the right way, the bolt is too short to attach the cup (see image). I tried assembling without the flower, and it fits perfectly, BUT the wing bolt that is needed to attach the cup that holds the beaker sticks up into the cup, there is nothing for the beaker to rest on except the bolt. It is doable, but it would be very easy to set the beaker in a little to roughly and break it on the bolt. I ended up flipping the flower upside down so I could attach everything in a flush manner, but the bolt is still an issue. It seems to me like it was welded in the wrong order, and maybe the bolt is also too short. Otherwise, it's cute. I'm going to use it with the upside down flower and be careful not to break the beaker...but design is flawed. (See pics)

This is cute rain gauge; The birds and leaves are only on sided which would be better with both sides. The material is not real sturdy, a bit on the flimsy side hopefully this will last a while. The pieces screw together easily so the fabrication quality there is very good. The gauge itself is glass, which is great, we were a bit surprised as most companies are making everything out of plastic. The glass gauge sits on a wing nut that holds the flower peddle base onto the stem, not a real good design there, plus the very bottom markings are hidden by the base. This is a nice addition to and outside garden even though it could use some improvements. See pics of what I mentioned

This is really pretty in my flower garden. It is made well, big and bright enough to be noticeable. It is a lovely way to add more character and charm to a very functional and utilitarian rain gauge. I think it is fairly priced. How well it holds up season after season is still be determined.
