Es gelingt mir nicht, auch nur einen brauchbaren Scan damit herzustellen, extrem viel Nacharbeit, und unbefriedigende Ergebnisse. Ist so nicht verwendbar. Und - ich bin IT Techniker, Grundkenntnisse sind, glaube ich, vorhanden.Leider habe ich die Rückgabefrist verpasst.

Zuerst war ich sehr begeistert über das Gerät. Es hat wirklich gute Ergebnisse erzielt. Ich hatte eine kleine Retoure, da der Drehteller nicht vollständig war, aber das wurde ohne Probleme gelöst. Ein Jahr und 15 Tage später ( ohne die Retoure einzuberechnen, sondern den ersten Liefertermin ), übertrug das Gerät nicht mehr an den Laptop. Der Ventilator lief jedoch noch. Nach einem kurzen Meeting wurde mir bestätigt, dass es zu einem Austausch kommen müsste. Dann wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass das doch nicht geht, da die Garantie seit 15 Tagen abgelaufen ist, ich könnte aber das Nachfolgermodell für ein paar Prozente bestellen. Die Retoure war nicht mehr im System zu finden. Diese hätte das Gerät unter die Garantiezeit fallen lassen. Eine Reparatur wurde mir angeboten oder der Kauf eines neuen Gerätes. Als ich nach der Reparatur fragte, hieß es, dass die Anschaffung eines Neugerätes günstiger für mich wäre. Auf weitere Nachfrage teilte man mir mit, dass es keine Reparatur für europäische Käufer gäbe. So wenig Kundenfreundlichkeit kann ich leider nicht gut bewerten und es tut mir leid, da das Gerät wirklich am Anfang toll funktionierte.

Also ich finde ihn zu kompliziert und Handscan kaum möglich. Man sollte einen sehr schnellen Rechner haben damit das Gerät gut funktioniert im drehteller Modus.Also mir macht dieser Scanner keinen Spaß.

Gerät verbindet sich nur wenn es mag mit dem Rechner - inzwischen verweigert es die Verbindung ganz.Mit mehreren Mac's und unterschiedlichen Ständen macOs getestet.Scanergebnisse sind nicht zufriedenstellend. Software noch beta??!!Kundenservice möchte Fernzugriff auf den Rechner - fragt sich weshalb ?Komischerweise kommen die positiven Beurteilungen aus GBDanke nochmals an Amazon - problemlose Rückgabe.Fazit: Makerpro = no Go

Ich hatte mir den Mole als meinen ersten 3D Scanner gekauft. Ich hatte viel darüber gelesen und bin leider auf die Werbevideos reingefallen. Der Mole ist an sich schön verarbeitet. Aber irgendwie zu kompliziert. Gefühlt hätte das Gerät noch ein paar Wochen Entwicklung gebraucht. Der Mole wird über einen sehr umständlichen Stecker mit Strom und Daten versorgt. Steckt der Stecker, kann man das Stativ aber nicht mehr sauber einstellen. Möchte mal also das Stativ verstellen muss man den Stecker ziehen. Danach muss das Gerät erstmal wieder booten und sich verbinden.Das Kabel ist total klobig und verzweigt. Mal eben Mobil was Scannen ist damit nicht drin. Natürlich kann man sich dafür ein zusätzliches Kit kaufen.Der Drehteller setzt auf Micro USB. Für mich im Jahre 2023 ein absolutes no go. USB C ist einfach der gesetzte Standard.Die Scanergebnisse sind leider nicht brauchbar. Der Scanner erkennt leider keine dunklen Oberflächen. Ja mir ist bewusst das dies an der Technik liegt. Der Mole wird aber extra damit beworben, das er eben auch dunkle oder schwarze Objekte scannen kann. Kann er aber nicht.In Summer ein ernüchterndes Scannerlebnis.Ging zurück.

Mir war von Anfang an klar das es sich hier so ähnlich wie mit den ersten 3d Druckern verhält und der Scanner nicht so gut sein wird wie versprochen wird.Aber der Scanner verliert selbst bei Objekten die alle Vorraussetzungen erfüllen um sich einfach scannen zu lassen das Tracking. Marker und Spray helfen hier absolut garnicht. Ich habe verschiedenste Formen und Materialien getestet.Beispiel: Ich scanne ein einen Teil der Mittelkonsole meines Autos. Spezielle Marker und oder das "Scanning-Spray" sind aufgetragen (mehrere Versionen getestet). In der Vorschau wird alles sehr sauber erfasst und sieht gut aus (keine Reflexionen etc.), beim scannen (Bewegung auf der X-Achse) wird der Scan nach ein par cm im Programm plötzlich verzerrt, dieser geht teilweise plötzlich in eine andere Richtung weiter (Y-Achse im Extremfall) . Also Egal wie langsam oder schnell ich den Scanner bewege oder welche Vorbereitungen ich treffe es lässt sich kein Objekt richtig abbilden, schon garnicht so wie es vom Hersteller angepriesen wird. Eine kalibrierung hilft hier leider auch nicht weiter.Der sehr viel günstigere Scanner eines Bekannten scannt z.b. die Mittelkonsole ohne große Probleme (selbst ohne Marker oder Spray)... .Das Programm ist recht ok, einfach und relativ gut zu verstehen. Die Hardware macht einen soliden Eindruck, der Stecker den hier einige bemängeln ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut. Dieser ist sehr Stabil ausgelegt und wird so schnell nicht ausleiern oder abknicken.

Review from my husband:This is pretty flippin amazing, to be honest. I was really impressed with the ease of the setup from opening the box to scanning in literally minutes. I was expecting something a lot more taxing and difficult, and as I've never used a 3d scanner before, I'm sure I'm not getting the most out of this tool, but by golly, it's damn good. It comes with 2 turntables, which is a fantastic idea and also a tripod with a rather nice carbon fibre extension rod. The power lead is ample long enough, something that I find necessary as sometimes they're too bloomin' short!As I said, literally within minutes of setup I was scanning, simply download the JM Studio app on your PC and you're away!! The software is very intuitive, even for the 3D scanning novice such as myself. It has lots of little options to improve scan quality as an option to fill holes in the scan for a more complete look. When using it, it looks like some setup from a sci-fi movie, it really reminded me of a scene from Dark Man with Liam Neeson! Honestly, it can scan anything and it provides you with the code for a 3D printer. It's really fantastic to be able to have such a flexible and fantastic tool in your home and the variables for use are endless. I know it's very expensive and maybe a luxury many cannot afford, but if you can get one, they're awesome! Apparently, you can replicate anything from car parts to little figurines to plates and vases!! Get one and sci-fi your household right up. Could you ever possibly imagine anything like this in your home 10-15 years ago? It's amazing 5/5

The Mole scanner is fantastic for medium to larger 3D scanning. It picks up amazing detail and is easy to use if you have experience. There are also great Tutorials on YouTube and great costumer service.Some have trouble with the learning curve for JMstudio and some aspects of the app do need to be improved. The software does a great job aligning multiple scans and you usually end up with a useable scan that does not even need any kind of repair. It is very easy to adjust the brightness to capture dark objects and their detail. You would need an additional to add colour.In conjunction with a turntable, the scans are easy to adjust (thanks to the "too close/too far" gauge) and the results are clean and precise. I use this scanner on a tripod with a fixed setting. No need to change the location of the scanner as it is enough to put the object with different angles on the turntable and append the scans. The align process will recombine the scans and give an outstanding result. Though you do need to restrict yourself to a meter distance.It is by no means a professional scanner, but for its price point it is really close. It’s cheaper here than other places too. It tends to soften sharp detail slightly but that could easily be sharpened back up in other software. I also love that the tracking in the software is very forgiving and it rarely loses tracking and if it does nine out of ten times it will pick it back up fairly easily.I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs good useable scans but does not have the budget for a higher end scanner. It is the first low to mid range scanner that I am actually able to get good useable scans from without a lot of hassle.
