I have a large head and hardly ever can find a hat that fits me right. This might be the forst ever that fits my 7 5/8 melon. I actually have to snap it on the 4th hole. I threw away all my almost big enough hats and ordered another!

I got this cap mainly for running and long walks where I needed something lightweight and breathable that wouldn’t leave me overheating or fiddling with it every few minutes. I’ve always struggled a bit to find hats that actually fit properly — either they’re too tight and give me a headache or too loose and flap about in the wind. The size range on this one is what drew me in, and I went with the L which turned out to be spot on.The quick-dry material works well. I’ve worn it during a few fairly sweaty runs and it doesn’t stay soaked or get that heavy, clammy feeling. The mesh sides let a fair bit of air through so you don’t feel like your head’s cooking in the sun, which has made a big difference compared to some of the thicker caps I’ve used before.It’s also surprisingly lightweight. You barely feel it after a while, which is exactly what I wanted. The back strap adjusts easily and doesn’t dig in, and the stitching throughout is solid with no loose threads or fraying so far.The only thing that let it down slightly is the brim. It does the job, but it feels a bit on the thin side and has a tendency to warp if it’s shoved in a bag. I’ve started being a bit more careful about how I store it so it keeps its shape, but I’d have preferred something a little firmer.Still, as a cap for running, casual wear or travelling, it’s a really good option — especially if, like me, you’ve got a head that doesn’t seem to match standard sizing. The fit and breathability are excellent, just don’t expect the bill to hold up under rough handling.

The hat feels nice and airy in the back half, but the front actually feels a bit too hot, and it makes me sweat more there. I think the hat will handle sweat well, but the fact that it generates potentially more sweat is a bit annoying, least for me. outside of that, the hat make quality is great, and it took an iron on patch very well!
