This connector and jack are both solidly made, but not too heavy. They are easy to disassemble and wire up. They are keyed, so there's no chance of reverse polarity as long as you wire it correctly to begin with. The piece of retaining rubber is kind of thin, but the cap and seal both are rugged enough as is.
