This little thing is a great addition to my climbing gear arsenal. Having popped a pulley recently for the second time in 14 months, and third time in over twenty years climbing, I've recently succumbed to the realization that I need to warm up my fingers diligently and properly.There are lots of similar products out there, so why is this one such a great value? Its small size is the big draw for me. As small and light as it is, there's very little temptation to leave it behind, and it will just live permanently in my crag bag. Similarly, since I go away for long stints for work where I can't climb, it's easy to pack this with me and get a little finger strength training anywhere I go, even without access to a gym or crag.And even though it's super small, it still has all the function of much larger competitors with four different sizes of edges plus a moderately useful pinch grip to boot!

I've got this attached to a 12-lb kettlebell, but it feels like I could go a little heavier and get a better workout that way. As it is, it's great for training finger/knuckle strength. The wood is nice and there are no sharp or splintery spots. It's the same quality you'd find buying it off the shelf in a climbing shop. I'm going to try it hanging from something, too.

My rock climbing son loves this practice grip. He attaches it to his dumbell for strengthening. It is smooth and therefore need chalked hands.

I love how compact this trainer is. It can easily be tossed into your gym bag without taking up much space at all. It is significantly smaller than a lot of other training gear I own.The different depth for the cutouts are great. I like the rounded edges and do feel that it helps preserve skin health. The parallelogram shape is ideal for pinch holds since the fingers naturally extend a bit further down than your thumb in this position and allows for a comfortable pinch grip.It's very lightweight yet feels extremely durable. It could use a slightly longer cord, but the default knot can be retied to gain a little extra rope, if needed.Super excited to continue using this so I can train at home before heading to the gym.

I got this so I could still do some hang training while traveling and I'm glad I did! It comes with everything you might need, apart from something to attach it to whatever you hope to hang it from. That said, it's not difficult to use, is well constructed, and (as long as you check the weight load of whatever you hang it from) can hold up 200+ lbs (maybe more, but I only tested this out with people under and just over that weight). What it lacks in variation for different hang grips, it makes up for in spades with it's compact size. Clearly, a lot of care went into designing and crafting this little training board. A must have for climbers who don't want to miss a little hang training while on the road.
