Bought 2 cables. One works just fine but the other has the connector just slightly the wrong size and does not lock into the HBA card. This is fairly minor as the cable works as long as you don't accidentally pull it out of the HBA.

Es steht in der Beschreibung das es mit sas geräten kompatibel ist (ist es nicht). das Produkt funktioniert mit SAS HDDs genauso gut als würde ich versuchen wollen mein handy mit Apfelsaft zu laden... SATA HDDs funktionieren aber SAS HDDs nicht also erfüllt das Produkt seinen Zweck nicht. Absolut schlecht, sowas sollte auf Amazon nicht existieren.

Saw on the photos as listed and the description that these will work for SAS drives but there are no pins for the drives. So these cables wil not work.

The cable is missing the pins which is required for a SAS drive. It's suitable for SATA only.

I have a IBM M1015 which is supported (according to the description) and there are already SATA Devices connected to it. The Power is also working for the SATA drives but when I hook up the Cable the drives don't even start.

Habe diesen SFF-8087 Adapater von YIWENTEC in meine LSI 9211-8i RAID Card eingesteckt, um anschließend meine 16TB Seagate Exos SAS Festplatte in einen der 4 Slots einzustecken.Diese hat sogar direkt per Plug-and-play funktioniert, auch wenn ich den PC beim Einbau der Platte lieber ausschalten würde. Das Ganze funktioniert seit über einem Jahr einwandfrei und ich bin aktuell voll und ganz überzeugt.In naher Zukunft werde ich das ganze noch in einer Serverumgebung testen und mich dann nocheinmal zurückmelden.Die Einbau-Reihefolge ist wie folgt:PC -> Raidcard -> SFF-8087 -> SAS-Festplatte(-n)

Benutzte dieses Kabel um ein LTO-5 Laufwerk an einen LSI PCI-E SAS controller anzuschließen. Klappt wunderbar mit der SATA Stromversorgung.
