Both dogs immediately began chewing the wood, making a mess, and eating the wood.

This stated it was for all breed sizes,yet my morkie I feel is intimidated by it because he just barks at it when I try playing with it with him. He loves sticks and there isnt a stick in my entire yard that would survive if I let him at them,yet he wont play with this or go near it. He just stands back with a aggressive stance and barks and growls at it. I have no clue why. The first time he smelled it then backed away barking at it. Does have a bit of an odd scent. Well the stick,not the actual rope part.

This is a nice stick/rope combo, but if your dog is a heavy chewer I’m not sure it would hold up for long. Not because it isn’t well made, just because the kind of wood and rope are both on the softer and more easily chewed through side. For light to medium chewers it’s great for playing together and giving your dog different textures to chew to keep away boredom. It's also fun for tug of war, especially since it can be used either way (dog holds stick or rope end)The stick is a little too big for my dog but she likes the rope. I wish there had been some measurements on the listing so I had an idea of how big the wood piece was. All I saw was medium and large, but that wasn't much help. My dog is pretty tiny so it can be tough to find wood toys that are small enough for her mouth, so while this one turned out too big at least we can still play with the rope. I'm not sure why it's priced so high, I assume it's the coffee wood since the other coffee wood stick she has was also on the high side. It's a nice feeling wood though, very smooth and doesn't seem to splinter all over when she chews on it.Nice toy for dogs who like to chew or play tug. As long as they aren't heavy or destructive chewers it should last a long time and I imagine it's very good for their teeth too.
