Update 11/18/2024==After testing various combinations this device stopped working. It briefly detected an X520-DA (in a powered m.2 to PCIe 4x adapter) but fails to detect any m.2 NVME drives (both directly connected and via the same m.2 -> PCIe 4x -> m.2 - just to rule power issues). In all cases it never detected more than 1 PCIe device at a time, regardless of what the bifurcation settings were (dual 4x or single 8x) over the cable. Now this adapter no longer detects anything.Original Review==Only came with one of the two required brass stand-offs so only one drive can be mounted. The stand-offs used here are a uncommon notched size/style so none of my spare m.2 mounting hardware is quite the right fit. Rather annoying having to track down (and buy) a 1 cent part and likely spend 500x the cost (and received 10+ replacements that I don't need).Other Notes (doesn't affect rating but might useful to someone):Due to the direction/location of the m.2 sockets this board is not compatible with m.2 to PCIe 4x adapters. This board could have been very handy for reloading PCIe cards if the m.2 sockets were located near the rest of the circuity instead of the far end of the board. Since this is not the intended use case I'm not faulting the design for that, simply stating my findings for future readers who might see this as nice way to relocate 2x PCIe 4x slots - it doesn't work as-is. A bit of a shame, but oh well (there aren't many options for connecting SlimlineSAS 4i/8i, MiniSAS HD, or Oculink to PCIe in a compact form factor - this had the potential to be one.

The product seems good. To anyone shopping just be aware you will also need the slimsas cable to connect it.Amazon didn't package it well though. They just dropped the board in a flat envelope without any protection. Mine seems to have arrived in one piece though
