The Dell replacement laptop display arrived sooner than expected and was the correct part. There was no hassle ordering, plus it came with all the tools needed to perform the repair.

replaced the display screen on my dell xps 9315 laptop. it works!getting the old LCD out was not the easiest and I couldn't find instructions online. the replacement screen came with two business-card sized pieces of flexible plastic that say to use them with rubbing alcohol. and an instruction sheet said that prying the screen loose from the bezel was usually how it worked.In short -- I doubt there's a way to get the existing screen out of the bezel without damaging it -- but if you're buying a replacement lcd screen then your existing one is already damaged or broken. use the plastic cards, sneak them in from the sides/top/bottom, and pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol in. there are sticky (very sticky) adhesive strips along the top and both sides -- the alcohol helps break the connection. this screen kit also includes some replacement adhesive strips which is very helpful (/necessary) to get the new screen to stay where it should in the housing.the new screen is a tiny bit smaller vertically -- so at the bottom there's now a 1-2mm gap where there wasn't one with the stock dell screen. that doesn't bug me at all.overall, I'm very pleased with this screen. it cost the price of other off-brand (non-dell) parts, and 1/3 the price of the replacement dell part, so I'm glad it's worked out so far. (It's been installed all of 1 hour so time will tell if there are any durability issues).

First screen I received was cracked, replacement shipped without incident. Second screen worked fine. As another reviewer noted, the replacement screen is not a perfect fit and does leave a small gap at the bottom but it's not a deal breaker for me. Be careful not to damage the ribbon connector to the screen when you remove the old one.
