I live where it normally does not freeze and usually do not have to worry about these things. However, this year was different. We had a week long event of freezing night temps, so I got these to protect our outdoor faucets. Seems to have worked because we did not have any freezing of pipes/faucets! Easy to just pop them on over the outdoor faucet, and they stayed in place even when it was really windy! Good value for the money!

My pair of outdoor tap insulation covers came in a vacuum-packed bag, and my initial thought was "Oh no, they're so thin!". But after opening the sealed bag they started to expand, which could be helped along with a massage of the material to plump the cover, just like one would do for a flat pillow.Each tap cover is big enough for me to put my giant hands inside, so it easily fitted over my outdoor tap, and the velcro straps were long enough to wrap twice around the cover and the tap, holding it securely in place.The colour was bright and fresh, the stitching was good quality, and each cover provides adequate insulation to prevent the cold getting at the tap.Great value, and a wise investment against winter leaks.
