This type of load cell features three wires.The diagram shown in the product image as of 2025-02-08 makes the assumption that the middle wire is yellow.The item I received had red as the middle wire. Yours might be different.To test the correct configuration of wires, figure out which wire has 1k ohm resistance to each of the others. That wire should go to the hx711. The other two wires should be directed to the other load cells according to the E+, E-, A+, A- configuration.

It took me 3hours to figure out that the wire diagram doesn't match the sensors. Mine had red center tap wires that need to be connected to the hx711. The description shows the yellow wires going to the hx711. After checking resistance I rewired and they calibrate well and work great to measure beehive weight during g honey flow. Check before you wire them up!

I recently purchased the 4-piece 50KG load cell weighing sensors. The price is great for the quality and functionality you get. These sensors work exceptionally well and were very easy to install and use. They are perfect for various DIY projects, providing accurate and reliable measurements. These load cell sensors are an excellent choice for anyone looking to tackle DIY projects. Highly recommended!

I've been working on a DIY smart scale and this set was relatively quick to get up and going and has worked great. Just add a esp32 and power and you're all set. I'm using it with EspHome and after using the wiring diagram on the Amazon listing I was immediately getting results. There is a lot out there about using the HX711 but what's important to remember is the output values don't really mean anything until you calibrate them against known values. I did this by having various family members stand on a normal scale then stand on the one I made and use those as calibration. After than I've been getting repeatable weight outputs even after several days. You also get values streaming in pretty quick so in EspHome, and really anything you might write manually, I add several filters. The load cells come with plastic clips which are nice for using to come up with a way to attach to something else. I just taped them for now but you could just screw them on. My only complaint is that I'd like the wires to be a little longer so I don't have to have the HX711 under the scale. Not really a big deal if you don't use headers on it but I did so it is easy to crush in my configuration. Very happy with the set including both the HX711 and load cells.
