Why tungsten? Density; tungsten has a density similar to that of uranium and twice that of lead. The high density of tungsten allows for slimmer and/or smaller darts at any given weight.Most quality tungsten darts are made with an alloy containing anywhere between 80 – 90% tungsten. According to Win.Max, their darts are composed of 90% tungsten, permitting them to be kept slim for their 18gr weight. Soft tip darts are most often found in the range of 18gr – 22grms of weight. Although other factors contribute to dart pricing, generally speaking, the higher the tungsten content, the higher the price. At its price point, with the barrel and shaft both composed of 90% tungsten, the Win.Max darts compare in price, as an example, to the Koto Kingfly family of soft tip darts, also available on Amazon, and represent what is essentially a minimum price point for a tungsten dart; in other words, you’d be hard pressed to find them any less expensive. That said, the Koto darts include nylon shafts while according to Win.Max, theirs, like the barrels, are 90% tungsten, making them not only a better value, but a comparatively excellent value.Due to their tungsten content and relatively light weight, the Win.Max darts are quite slim, while at the same time maintain a comfortable balance with the fulcrum about a third from the tip. The flights, fabricated using 100-micron material, are what is basically considered a “standard” flight, based on their weight and surface area. Their relatively large surface area is a traditional form factor that focuses on creating maximum drag, a coefficient that contributes to increased stability in flight. This makes them much more forgiving in the air than smaller flights. In addition, consistency in replicating throws is much easier, allowing for tighter groupings, along with potentially more rapid improvement of the thrower’s skill. Standard flights are an excellent choice for both the beginner and the accomplished thrower, and goes to the sellers’ assertion that these darts were developed by “globally renowned designers.” In any case, someone that knew what they were doing.I’m used to throwing 18gr darts, but not as slim as the Win.Max darts, although I do find myself taking a liking to them; the concentrically milled engravings on the grip provide a firm, tactile grip. According to the seller, the various engravings allow for different grip styles. I also find the design aesthetic pleasing as well; they’re a nice-looking dart, which for me makes them that much more pleasant to hold and throw. The darts are expertly machined and finished and are likely at the sellers claim of 18grms. The scale I include in the picture reads in 0.5gr increments. If the weight of an object placed on it is 18.1gr, the scale will read 18.5, which in this case it does.The Win.Max darts fly straight and true, with a nice feel and balance in the hand, and at their current cost, are an excellent value for darts with a barrel and shaft both composed of 90% tungsten.

Die Pfeile sind gut verarbeitet. Der Schafft sehr griffig, dadurch liegen sie gut in der Hand. Angenehm leicht.Positiv ist auch das Zubehör: Zwei Sätze Flights und Gummis für Schaft und Spitzen, sogar mit überzieh Tool.Negativ: Anders als beschrieben keine Steel Spitzen, sonder Plastik.Ok sind schnell gewechselt aber dafür ein Stern Abzug.Ideale Pfeile für Anfänger, die nicht gleich Unsummen für gute Pfeile ausgeben wollen.Wer Spaß am Darten hat und langfristig spielen will, steigt irgendwann sowieso auf hochpreisige um.

Ich habe mir die WIN.MAX Soft-Dartpfeile mit 90% Tungsten in der farbenfrohen Variante bestellt – und bin absolut begeistert! Schon beim Auspacken merkt man, dass es sich um hochwertige Darts handelt. Die Verarbeitung ist erstklassig: Die Barrels liegen sehr gut in der Hand, bieten durch die präzise Riffelung einen super Grip und sehen durch das Regenbogen-Finish auch noch richtig edel aus.Mit 18 Gramm haben sie für mich das perfekte Gewicht für Softdarts. Die Balance ist hervorragend – die Pfeile fliegen sehr stabil und präzise ins Board. Auch nach mehreren Sessions zeigen sich keine Abnutzungserscheinungen an den Spitzen oder Flights. Die mitgelieferten Flights sind robust und stylisch, halten super und lassen sich bei Bedarf leicht tauschen.Mein Fazit: Wer ein zuverlässiges, gut ausbalanciertes und optisch ansprechendes Dart-Set sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis – klare Kaufempfehlung!
