The pump comes with some nice little rings that go on the inlet and outlet pipe and allow the use of either Whales 12mm click fit parts or the use of a standard 1/2inch fresh water hose. Excellent so far. The trap I have fallen into is that I need a pressure switch to turn the pump on and off. The old one I had, was designed for 1/2 inch hoses so was compatible with the pump. The new switches are designed to be used with Whales click-fit system only. That uses special 12mm piping supplied by Whale (Surprise). So do not buy this pump unless your system is already click-fit or you don't need a pressure switch or you are good at bodging. Whale will not help.

I purchased this to replace a damaged pump (same model) which had worked flawlessly for over eight years in our camper van. Installation to pipework was simple, as was connection to the existing 12v supply. The old one had been damaged after freezing in winter (forgot to drain the tank and the expanding frozen water in the pump cracked the two intake nozzles).These pumps must always be primed before first use (after each re-filling of the tank from empty) as they should never be ran ‘dry’. To help that, I also fitted a Whale Baby Foot Pump into the pipe run, between the electric pump and the tap, to prime the electric pump after draining the tank entirely (for cleaning / winter etc.). It works very well indeed.I chose this model (the lower flow rate) deliberately, as any more water pressure would cause water leaving the tap to splash from the sink bottom and into the cab area, so would only have to run the tap slower anyway. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone with similar needs to mine

Hab die kleine Pumpe für zwei Waschbecken in meiner Yacht eingebaut, hatte erstmal bedenken. Druck völlig ausreichend, saugte selbst an. Am besten mann baut sie leicht unterhalb des Wassertank an, ansonsten selbst ansaugen damit die Luft aus den Schlauch verschwindet und dann sollte es für die Nächste Zeit funktionieren.

We got this pump to replace the origional one in our boat.Very good price! and it works a treat!Easy to fit! It wasnt self priming so my husband had to suck the water through and up thee tube manually.I would definitely Recommend this product!
