I ordered this ball peen hammer, with a solid brass head and nicely sculpted wood handle, to use in my work room, where I deal with certain metal collectibles. When it arrived, and I had a look at it, handled it, and quite frankly, admired it greatly, I decided to keep it in its protective envelope, in its box, at my desk, and just get it out and admire it, from time to time, usually, every day or two. It's the first hammer I've ever had that I just take out, handle, and look at, and am glad I purchased.Many years ago, i was a cotton farmer in the Delta. Hand tools were a way of life. Never did I imagine I would sit and admire a ball peen hammer. Well, this things change. This one is truly admirable. If you get one, you will understand.

I bought this for small bearing installs. Nice quality brass hammer that feels great using to tap bearings in without damaging races. Easy to use and handle. Well balanced . Awesome price. Gets job done right.
