Das Waveshare ESP32S3 Touch Display Development Board bietet nahezu alles, was man sich von einem Mini-Display-Controller so erwarten könnte. Das kreisrunde Display löst mit 360x360 Pixeln auf und bietet eine tolle Helligkeit und einen guten Kontrast, sodass es sehr gut ablesbar ist. Der Touch funktioniert super und flüssig.Das PCB ist sehr aufgeräumt und bietet einige weitere Besonderheiten, die vom Hersteller auch schön aufgeschlüsselt und dokumentiert werden. Unter anderem besonders nennenswert sind die integrierte Lithium-Akku-Logik, die nicht nur den kabellosen Betrieb sondern auch das Aufladen des Akkus über USB-C ermöglicht. Ebenfalls an Board sind ein Gyro-Sensor sowie ein Audio-Anschluss, wozu sogar die beiden kleinen Lautsprecher mitgeliefert werden. Im Endeffekt ist es also nur noch nötig, ein kleines Gehäuse zu basteln, und man hat einen WLAN- und Bluetoothfähigen Controller, beispielsweise um Smart Home zu steuern und zu überwachen sowie Radio oder MP3 abzuspielen. Dazu gibt es sogar noch einen Micro-SD-Slot, welcher jedoch leider nur bis 16GB Kapazität unterstützt.Dennoch ein sehr cooles und gelungenes Set für kleine smarte Projekte mit Display, Touchsteuerung, Audioausgabe und mit WLAN und Bluetoothverbindung.
