It took over an hour to melt just five pound of wax. I expected a much quicker process.

I ordered this wax melter to use with beeswax. It has worked well for me so far. I've used it twice as candle making is a hobby, not a business for me. I wanted something that would be able to melt large amounts of wax so that I can more easily make gifts and I can pour more molds at a time.There are a couple of details I really like about this melter. The first is that the temperature dial is easier to read at the low end than other wax melters I have looked at. The lowest temperature is 122 F and the space between 122 and 155 F is large enough to easily read and set. I had no problem setting my wax to my goal temperature of 147 F.Another feature I really like is that the pour spout is level with the bottom of the interior of the melting pot. Most of the melters I have looked at have a spout that is about half an inch to an inch above the bottom of the pot so you have to tilt it to get all the wax out.The one drawback I found to this melter is that the back half of it doesn't seem to warm as well as the front half. My wax always seems to be liquid near the spout but solid or partially melted in the back.Overall, I'm happy with this melter. It is easy to use. It has melted my beeswax so much faster than the crockpot I had been using. It holds a lot of wax and is easy to pout into my pour pots.

My daughter and I are loving this wax melter for candle making.I got her a candle kit for Christmas and a love and passion for candle making exploded in her!However the wax melter in the kit we started with could only hold enough wax for one small palm sized candle, and you had to pick it up and tip it over to pour the wax out.This wax melter is industrial and amazing in comparison. Can make so many more smaller candles at a time or even a few big ones. We have yet to completely fill it with wax so I can’t say for certain exactly how many candles could be made at one time, but compared to our last, it’s much, much more efficientTemperature control is simpleLove that it comes with extra candle making supplies!But most importantly it pours the wax out of the faucet, for a safer and easier experience!My daughter and love and recommend this! 🕯️
