I read many reviews and I was initially put off buying this feeder. I bought two feeders that stated they were for sunflower hearts and our neighbouring squirrels were delighted with the access to the seeds, but I was fed up that our small bird population had little access to the food.I decided to go against the recent reviews and bought this feeder. The blue tits, the great tits, the coal tits, the green finches and a whole host of other small birds are delighted with this feeder and so am I. The squirrels are the only customers who would complain if they could, because they cannot access the seeds, so they have to forage the acorn nuts!!!

This is really strong and well made,a lot of thought has gone into making it sturdy,but non into making it fit for purpose.It is,or is meant to be ,a peanut feeder for birds.The holes in the mesh are so tiny the birds can't get their beaks in to peck at the nuts. It looked so good I hadn't read the reviews- big mistake. Not recommended at all.

i have had other peanut feeders, but the peanuts would get wet and moldy. with this, no such problem. and watched a squirrel spend several minutes battling the feeder - the squirrel lost!just remember, this is for peanuts, not for seeds or other bird feed.

Very small seed holes , returned for refund.
