I replaced a different dc dc charger with this one and wow it's perfect. It knows when the sprinter van is on and off. It's compact, light and the quality it clean simple allowing me to save room. It's working with my 2 280ah litime batteries in parallel. It's a very safe charger and simple to install.

Prodotto eccellente, in linea con le attese. I plus imbattibili sono sicuramente: lavoro assolutamente silenzioso, senza ventole; garanzia della tensione e corrente generata e la sua App con la quale gestire tutti i parametri. In particolare uso la possibilità di modificare velocemente la quantità di corrente in ah con la quale caricare la batteria al litio. Normalmente la tengo a 28ah ma quando sono a corto di energia la metto a 50ah così in mezz’ora di motore in moto carico 25ah che è il consumo di una notte. Fantastica la possibilità di caricare velocemente anche in mancanza di sole :-) e in poco tempo.

I was surprised at how small this unit was compared to my Solar MPPT 100/50 unit (see photo). There are no heatsink fans on the back so I was worried that it would get hot, but it doesn’t.As usual, the VictronConnect app is where it’s at and it’s great to be able to see Solar and Alternator charging from the same place. Really excellent system.Previous to this I was just charging the leisure batteries (4 x 100Ah) from the alternator when solar wasn’t cutting it over winter, but it took forever to charge to 100% and never reached Absorption voltage. This however is a night and day difference in terms of charging in the way it controls the voltage and current when charging. True bulk, absorption, float and storage states means it charges the batteries quickly. Easily three times quicker than using the alternator alone - depending on state of charge.The entire Victron system is highly recommended. A+

Funktioniert, ist klein. Wird nicht heiß, wie die 30A Variante. Braucht aber definitiv 14V am Eingang, damit auch 700W am Ausgang ankommen.

Läuft reibungslos im T6.1 California Coast inkl. Motorlauf-Erkennung. Einfach ans Trennrelais anschließen. Auf gesonderte Absicherung achten.

As with all Victron products, it does what it is meant too and the Blue Tooth interface is excellent.

Wir wollten unseren Redarc 40A DCDC Lader gegen den Victron Orion XS 50A tauschen, um unser Victron System um einen entsprechenden Ladebooster zu komplettieren, leider erreicht er maximal 30A und auch nur manchmal. Oft erreicht er nur ein paar Ampere, so dass die Batterie langsam, während der Fahrt, leer läuft, auch wenn nur der Kühlschrank angeschlossen ist (ca. 165 Watt).Ergänzung vom 02.01.2025:Anscheinend muss sich der Ladebooster sich anlernen. Mittlerweile erreicht er auch mal Ströme bis 45A. Er lädt die Batterie voll und reduziert dann den Ladestrom entsprechend. Ab 40 bis 50 Minuten reduziert er den Ladestrom für 5 Minuten um sich selbst abzukühlen. Der Ladebooster ist unter dem Beifahrersitz unter dem Wechselrichter verbaut - nur leichte Luftzirkulation.

Quick shipping and a reasonable price. After using 6Ga wire and an Anderson connector to connect it to my rear winch connection. The ground was connected to the victron smart shunt I have mounted in my 2023 21 foot Bigfoot trailer.The unit charges 2 12volt 70 amp hr AGM batteries in parallel in the trailer.Due to the smart 130amp Alternator in the Tacoma I had to try several different settings to get it to charge the AGM batteries correctly.In the end the Bulk charge at 14.6v and 27.2 amps from the Orion was better than the 45 amp Lithium capable PDI converter in the trailer.The Battery settings were set to AGM spiral type.The shutdown voltage of 11.8v gave a 34.5 amp input current to the charger from the alternator.The start voltage was 13.5 volts with 0 seconds start voltage delay using a user defined Alternator
