UV-Aとfar red光の定量測定が可能なセンサーです。マトリクス液晶表示の計測器本体は単4電池3本で動作し充電式ではありません。センサーは本体に内蔵ではなく、防水のしっかりした金属製センサーを有線で接続する形です。測定したところにセンサーを置いて計測するわけですが、付属品として延長可能な持ち手がついており、高い位置や奥まった場所の測定もしやすくなっています。センサーの計測窓がやや窪んでおり面積が狭いこともあって、やや影ができやすいのが少々気になります。入射光の角度によりそこそこ計測値が影響を受けやすいかもしれません。計測の精度がどうなのかというところですが、メーカーのwebを見る限り、その分野においてはそれなりに実績があるようですので、計測値は信頼できそうな印象です。植物育成用ライトをいくつか使用していますが、それらの特性が見えるのはなかなか面白いです。計測はその時点の数字が液晶に表示されますが、連続記録ログをとることもできます。センサーは防水ですので屋外での連続測定にも使えますね。計測器の相場がわかりませんが、多分研究用になるとかなり高額になりそうな中で、どちらかというと安価なほうなのですかね。家庭、個人用用途で特にログをとりたい場合には悪くない選択肢なのかと思います。

Avendo in casa un acquario, avevo bisogno di verificare l’efficienza e l’efficacia delle lampade che ho montato.Volevo poter verificare se effettivamente quanto sponsorizzato fosse reale e se le lampade avessero queste due tipologie di luce integrate, dato che stavo avendo diversi problemi con le piante nell’acquario.Con mia grande sorpresa, solo grazie a questo strumento ho scoperto che le lampade che stavo usando non erano adatte in alcun modo. Motivo per cui le piante non stavano restando in vita.Dopo le misurazioni ho cambiato lampade, rimisurato, e constatato che le sostitute hanno ottimi valori. A distanza di una decina di giorni infatti la salute delle piante acquatiche è totalmente cambiata migliorando drasticamente.Lo strumento è impermeabile e quindi consente la misura subacquea, in più ha una specie di selfie stick fatto su misura per misurare in posti poco accessibili. Perfetto per questo tipo di misurazioni.Altra cosa che mi ha piacevolmente stupito è la possibilità di alimentarlo sia tramite USB che tramite batterie. Se la porta USB viene usata lo strumento esclude in automatico le batterie. Perfetto per usarlo in laboratori o posti che dispongono di alimentazione elettrica, o anche solo con un powerbank.A proposito di batterie, vorrei anche segnalare che erano incluse nel kit, quindi già pronto all’uso sin dal primo momento.L’unico piccolo difetto il manuale d’uso un pò scarno. Ma visto il funzionamento estremamente semplice non servono grandi istruzioni o indicazioni.Uno strumento che mi ha letteralmente salvato l’acquario.

This thing is great! It's a UV and FR light meter. Those are the blue & reds outside of the PAR spectrum.I have UV lights for my setup, but I have no way of knowing what's what, if this works, if that is actually that, etc. This thing solves those problems! I can finally measure my UV light.It's night time right now. I tested with some indoor lights and saw 0.30 FR from some LED lights. I'll be testing everything tomorrow, including the sunshine.This thing comes with everything. It's got a nice handle for the light meter diode. The screwdriver for the battery door for the 3 x AAA (also included) batteries to go in. It can run 100+ hours from those batteries, or the microUSB power cable, also included.I'm very happy finally having a meter for UV light. It's been a mystery without this.
