I took this robotic dog for my kids, and it's a pleasure with tricks – singing, dancing, and rolling over on command! The remote’s easy for little hands, and having two rechargeable batteries included is great. But wow, it can be very loud, but luckily it came with volume control! The hard plastic feels cheap, the battery compartment’s a nightmare to close, and the 'follow me' feature is very unreliable. It is great fun for younger kids, but it does not keep them busy for long. I wish the 'follow me' feature were working correctly.

I ordered the Robot Dog for my granddaughter, and it has absolutely loves it! The programmable robotic puppy comes with 2 rechargeable batteries and offers 17 interactive functions. The dog looks great with a lovely pink finish and the glowing eyes add a delightful touch, lighting up as it moves and responds to commands. It’s well made, durable, and the vibrant colour and expressive eyes make it an adorable companion for my granddaughter.Controlled via a remote handset, each button has a clear function, forward, backward, left, and right, making it simple for my granddaughter to navigate. Beyond basic movements, the range of actions is impressive! She loves making it roll over, beg, and perform other tricks, all while it barks, plays music, and makes cute noises. The 17 interactive functions keep her engaged, and she’s thrilled to have so many commands to explore. The singing and dancing features are her favourites, she giggles every time the robot puppy sways to the music or lets out a playful bark!My granddaughter’s face lit up the moment she saw it. She’s spent hours directing it around the house, pressing buttons to see it roll over or beg, and dancing along with its tunes. The variety of commands gives her a sense of control and creativity, and she loves showing off its tricks to family and friends. The two rechargeable batteries are great, ensuring the fun doesn’t stop when one needs a charge.Overall The Remote Control Robot Dog is a wonderful toy that brings joy and entertainment to my granddaughter. She loves commanding it to perform tricks, dance, and sing, and the design makes it extra special. With lots of interactive functions and an easy to use remote, it’s a perfect gift for kids.

Well made and finished toy. Controlled via a remote handset that has a function on each button, forwards, backwards, left and right as well as a range of actions that include rolling over, begging and several others.....all whilst making noises, barking, music etc. It also has a much appreciated volume control. The dog is well made, but may not withstand being sat upon or pushed against the direction or action being performed, so may not suit many three or four year olds. This one is due to be used by our five year old granddaughter, we think that age is about right for this advanced toy.It performed (moved) well enough on our close pile carpet and will be perfect on a harder/smoother surface but may struggle on a carpet with noticeable pile.

Very easy to assemble, and with comprehensive instructions, this dog looks great. I love the pearlescent pink finish, and it would look good on a toy shelf. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack, and a spare battery and charger, which is nice to see. You also require 2 AAA batteries for the remote, which aren't supplied. It does go into sleep mode if not played with for 2 minutes, so at least this should extend battery life.It has various functions, all easily set by the remote, which is light and quite bulky, so small hands should be fine with it.Very young children will probably just press any button, but as long as it is pointing at the dog, that is fine. You can tickle under its chin and get a response too, which is a nice feature, and also programme via the remote to do several functions, one after the other, to keep small people entertained without continually pressing buttons. It has 3 children's songs on it, which are quite 'nursery' sounding, so I think probably older children wouldn't be interested in it, but for a toddler, it would probably be very popular. There is a sensor on the dogs chest, and an instruction on the remote to press to make it follow you around. We couldn't get this function to work, but everything else was fine. There is a volume control, which we needed as it was very loud when first turned on, so be aware- our real dog was traumatised!

This review is for the VATOS New Kids Remote Control Robot Dog with 2 Batteries, Intelligent Programmable Robotic Puppy with 17 Interactive Functions,Singing Dancing Walking Robot Dog Toy Gift for Girls Aged 3-8, Pink£35.99 at the time of reviewThis is a good toy for a child who can’t have a dog, but there are some provisos. You get 2 rechargeable batteries, a screwdriver and a charging lead for the batteries. The batteries have fly leads on them that connect to the dog, and also to the charging lead. Plugging the battery into the dog needs slimmer fingers because the leads are a little short and the space is tight, then you have to squeeze it all into the compartment to get the cover closed properly. You also get a remote control which uses 2 x AAA batteries (not supplied) and a booklet explaining the controls. A button at the front of the dog switches it on and off. It “eyes” also light up when switched on.It is noisy! It moves about an uncarpeted floor well, but it really clumps down with a lot of noise while performing its acrobatics. It is quieter on carpets, but it moves more slowly. It makes lots of dog noises, sings and talks, but at least you can reduce the volume a little from the remote.I can see a child having a lot of fun with this toy for the first day or so, tailing off as time goes on and the novelty wears off, but it does have a programmable mode and that should extend its fun for a long time after that.4 stars from me due to the noise it makes while doing its acrobatics on an uncarpeted floor. The plastic is also very hard and so doesn’t make this toy dog likely to be picked up and cuddled. If its outer shell had been covered by a much softer plastic, it would make less noise and be more pick up-able perhaps. It won’t ever replace a cuddly teddy bear.
