It said it will fit my 1974 bmw 2002. It does not fit. I paid a shop to put this on my driveshaft and this is not the right fit. Very disappointing.

I put this on my 1982 BMW 320i. This bearing has to be driven or pressed down onto the splined tongue of the driveshaft using a special BMW tool. I used a PVC fitting that fit perfectly down onto the bearing and hammered it on with a rubber mallet. It didn't spin freely so I pryed it loose a bit and hammered it down again making sure to drive it down evenly and it finally did spin freely but when I fastened the two parts of my driveshaft back together it required manual turning (not hard or anything) to spin. I put everything back together and there doesn't seem to be any problems. It functions normally and my ride is smooth.There is a brass dust cap that fits down under the bearing around the splined driveshaft tongue. I would recommend buying a new one of those as well as this bearing. And whether you reuse the old dust cap or replace it with new, make sure you drive it down applying even, circular pressure the same way you do with the bearing. I ended up warping mine because I didn't do that and it never did fit right again after that.
