Dowels are a bit long for my purpose. I think a graduated size in the dowels would be easier to get too. Even for canvas. It does work for my glass. Seems sturdy. I like the metal inside the dowels. Tool it comes with is too hard on my hands. Fortunately I had this size tool on a handle. Took about 20 minutes and had to use a chair to put together. Or sit on floor.

I like pretty much everything about except that I feel cheated out oh one space for canvases because of the defective dowel! I told the company and received no response or satisfaction. All they had to do was send me ONE non-defective dowel and they would have had a five star rating!
