Unger 960490 C U Grabber, 33-inch

This looked like this unger model was going to be a winner with all the hanger hooks and versatile shape of the jaws - until i tried to pick something up. I had to stick on a length of spongy rubber on the tip to give it a better chance of holding things in its grip. Ive got several other models of these grabbers and this is the only one that had a gripping problem. Two other models made by unger work much better. Im going to find what this thing does best because it's easy hanging features make this more desirable to use often because i know i'll rarely have to retrieve it from falling on the floor (which is hard for me and why i bought these things.) My other grabbers grip better, but the best of them has no easy way to hang itself up and is a bummer to constantly have to retrieve it from the floor, where it fell, because i could only lean it against something when not in use. So i put a higher value on things that can hang on a wall or whatever easier. I had to drill a hole and add a stiff wire hook on my best gripper but it didnt turn out very good. So at least this model is easy to hang-up from either end.

There are an amazing number of grabbers out there, but this one is very good. The little hook on the end is very helpful, and the grip is comfortable.I like it a lot! The price was also reasonable for the usefulness of the item. Getting old is a drag, and little assistive devices make things more bearable.

It worked okay for 6 weeks. Then the handle broke. It almost seems as though it was designed to work no lomger than a few days after the 30 day return window. A great disappointment.

Can't bend too much due to delicate pregnancy, this has been a great help. Can pick up almost everything I've dropped. The magnet tip is a great idea for keys, pens, etc. The handle feels sturdy and the plastic material is thick. So far no issues. I would definitely purchase this again.

With my old grabber. The one I got free when I had my hip replacement surgery. I could pick up,most, anything. A dime, a piece of thread, anything. I can do the same thing with the Total Reach Grabber. But only after several attempts.I will admit,though, that the little magnet, it comes with, is kind of handy
