Very good NAS, have HDMI and is possible install own OS - DISABLE WATCHDOG IN BIOS.I can't say something about ugreen linux SW - I am IT profesional and i don't trust any small storage OS - this is not about ugreen, synology etc. too.I need SW raid - that is very easy move to another HW, expandable, fixable etc. and now BTRFS but on linux SW-RAID (single data, duplicity metadata) - now i use RAID6 with 8x18TB - work great.This is nice HW, good CPU for home nas, i disable HT - because Intel HT slowdown all - special I/O - this is not about ugrteen, this is intel and amd general feature - disable virtual CPU for more power and throughput.Nice HW, 2x 10GB LAN - great - this NAS have all that i need, reasy replacable OS, 8x HDD, 10GB LAN easy expandable memory - i add 64GB RAM and is possible add 2x NVME M.2 SSD - with OS 3x M.2 - but i waiting for stable RO SSD cache - i hate tearing that crash raid when SSD gone - i use RAM as write cache and BTRFS promise standard RO SSD cache - now is one working solution, but is MEH - i wait for integration to BTRFS.If you use own system, you can isntall what you want, primary i use NFS - i am Linux and MacOS only user ... but is possible install SAMBA for windows (in original NAS is all integrated) - is possible install TrueNAS etc. is possible use iSCSI (i don't use it) and another SW like KVM, docker, plex, personal cloud for Android/iOSI like this, btw first i thing about case: Jonsbo n3 - used serverboard with low power xeon and ECC RAM - this solution cost 1/3 ;-) - but - is bigger, maybe consume more energy and you must solve everything - i like this design, compact, nice view, re installable - i hope Ugreen never lock his NAS and start support both user, storage professional like me and people who like install own linux and customer that like full ugreen solution - for ugreen it is same money - because i never thinking about buy some locked solution - special if HW fail and i need transfer my data - i move my NAS from 4x HW - 1x custom case, 2x HPE MicroServer - btw work - and now to Ugreen because i need expand to 100TB with 8 HDD- first time i transfer data, sec. time is grow SW-RAID - replace disk per disk, wait for rebuild and expand at the end capacity - now i expand raid to 8 hdd and convert from raid5 to raid6 - all on the fly - i love Linux and his SW_ARID or LVM2 RAID - where is possible free convert raid level and expand - tah i do usually don't support any small NAS/RAID device ... btw. i am NetApp senior engineer ;-)

Super Nas - alles bestens...

Setup TrueNAS Electric Eel in minutes and the main use will be Plex media server. Works as expected. Zero issues.
