This works exactly as you'd hope. Mine didn't come with instructions, but instructions were in the Amazon listing so I printed from there and put them in the box. The plastic cue tip clamp tool uses a thick rubberband that appears easily replaceable when it dries out. It was harder than expected to slide the clamp down on the pool cue shaft, and I didn't get as far as the pictures show, but it still worked. One star was removed for lack of included instructions.
