The top surface is VERY slippery, which, combined with the narrow width, makes this item a dangerous thing to stand on. As for the max weight of 370 pounds that this thing can supposedly take, note that there is no cross-brace at the bottom. There is one under the wood plank, but if a heavy person stands on this, the legs, not being braced at the bottom, simply splay out. Maybe there are other uses for this item, but it is NOT a step stool.

This comes well packaged with the parts and allen key required for assembly, plus a spare bolt. There are also four foam pads that the instructions don't mention. These don't need to be installed as the feet have plastic caps, but they may help with any unevenness on floors such as tiles; I stuck them on and they don't adversely impact using it. Assembly takes just a few minutes. Other than a seam visible at one end, there are no obvious defects and it looks good. With the pads, the top is about 150mm from the floor, but ideal for little feet, or anyone needing just a bit of elevation.An alternative use would be as a desk accessory such as a monitor stand. A Bambu A1 mini fits, some printers probably would with room underneath for some reams of paper. It's light and easy to carry.At around £29 when ordered it's a bit pricey compared to some other options, but it works well and looks decent.

Look at the wood, it has a lovely shine and for being small is quite sturdy.Comes in a few pieces so easy to assemble (I still got o/h to help because I am not handsy).Got specifically for use with my rocking chair, it slides underneath it really neat when not in use.I love it, perfect height, the wood is really nice and it fits perfect with our set up 5/5.
