I do like furnishings made from solid wood rather than those chipboard excuses for quality furniture that have been veneered with some paper thin skin of indeterminate heritage, or that are made with MDF that has been painted. Real wood grows old gracefully and, even when it picks up a few knocks, it's appearance improves with age. The aforementioned alternatives just start to look cheap and shabby.This shelf is made from beech wood. As such it is a hardwood with a fine grain and is regarded as a good quality wood for building furniture. Like all good hardwoods it is not cheap when compared to the nasty alternative real wood substitutes that I have mentioned.This coat rack, at 48.5cm long has four well spaced hooks that makes it suitable for hanging lots of different objects. When hooks are too close things can foul each other and make it awkward to hang things securely. The top shelf is ideal for my location as I have been able to place a clock and a small wireless speaker there and so the rack is dual function.Assembly was simple, even given that I ignored the instruction leaflet because the diagrams were a little small for my old eyes. Fixing up the rack was simple with the supplied screws and plugs but one small gripe is the lack of screw hole stoppers. At the price of this unit I would really have expected a couple of small, matching wood dome headed plugs to just finish the job off.I do like this shelf and it is great to see that quality, solid wood furnishings are finding their way onto out favourite online shopping store. Price wise I do think that this represents reasonable value given that the natural wood is an expensive commodity, even before manufacturing and distribution is factored in, but the shelf is slightly let down by the lack of the finishing touch of the hole covers and so this is a 4 star review rather than a 5 star.

I love this little shelf with coat hooks!It is small but amazing quality, very solid. Just right for a hallway or bedroom. We have put it up in our daughters room. It is amazing quality and was easy to put up (my husband did it!)It means her jackets and little handbag are not thrown around.It looks lovely and she really likes it!

This is a quality item with a solid, chunky feel to it. The wood is thick, has some weight to it and is well finished off. All the fittings that are used do feel as if they will last. Then the provided Allen key and mini spirit level help you put it together and complete the job.If properly mounted on a solid wall, this rack will hold both items that hang, and those that sit or rest on a shelf. The lip on the front of the shelf helps to keep items in place. This combination makes it ideal for hallways as well as in a kitchen or guest room. For us this is going in my dad’s new workshop. He can hang his wood workers apron and overall alongside his own jacket or jumper and put his safety glasses and bits on top.Don’t make the same mistake as me when I assembled it. Just be sure that you align the back piece the right way round. Otherwise all the screw heads will protrude from the back and obviously hinder things when you fix it to the wall.The beech wood and white knobs contrast nicely and create a good looking piece. There are cheaper alternatives around but if you are looking for a quality piece this is well worth considering.

Wall Mounted Coat Rack as supplied by TREOAKWIS.This is a really nice kit of parts comprising of solid beech pre-drilled wooden pieces, an instruction sheet and all the necessary fittings for assembly.The instructions are clear and easy to follow and understand.Assembly was straightforward only requiring a screwdriver. A levelling bead is also included to make sure your finished work of art is straight.The wood has a lovely finish on it which negates the necessity for staining or vanishing.Overall, it's a nice coat rack that will not look out of place in either an office or home environment.

This coat rack offers a lovely, classic feel thanks to its straightforward design and all-wood construction. While it does require some assembly after arriving flat-packed, the process is fairly easy, and everything you need minus wall fixings is included. I particularly like the natural wood finish of the rack and shelf, which makes it versatile enough to fit in any room.
