Contrairement a la photo, les couteaux reçus n’avaient pas de logo Tramontina sur les lames.De plus, une fois déballés, les lames des couteaux ne semblaient pas être neuves

Vor Jahren beim Essen gehen zum Braten gereicht bekommen, und seitdem wollte ich die Teile nachkaufen. Letztens hab ich das dann endlich in die Tat umgesetzt, und ich muss sagen: So ein völlig überdimensioniertes Messer zum Steak hat was, das ist einfach völlig sinnlos archaisch-maskulin, wirklich sehr schön. Sie liegen daneben noch sehr gut in der Hand (viel besser als die später dazugekaufte Riesengabel von Ikea; die ist nicht archaisch-maskulin, sondern einfach nur seltsam), schneiden sehr gut (ich mag mein Steak medium well, da ist es keine Kunst, aber auch medium rare flutscht gut) und sie wirken weitgehend unzerstörbar (nicht versucht; vermutlich sind sie eigentlich schon zerstörbar, aber man braucht sicherlich Kraft). Ach, und hübsch sind sie auch. Wenn man völlig überdimensionierte Steakmesser sucht, die sinds.

I had never heard of Tramontina before, so I bought this set of 4 stake knifes with some doubt, however I have to say that this hardware is really good.First of all - and this is the reason you are probably reading this review - they are great on steak! I inaugurated them with a tomahawk steak and they are absolutely great. Not only because their sharp blades carve the meat so easily, but also because they feel heavy and adequately sized for thick stakes and chops.Then there is the finishing, which also plays a part and adds value to your table's presentation. Overall they are great knives, the only thing I can't comment on is the durability but by the look and feel of the metal and then handle I have no reason to believe they won't last and look great for a long time. Thinking of it, I wouldn't be surprised that with some use they would acquire a kind of vintage look.

I like Tramontina as a brand. I remember my mother having a set that lasted a very long time, and when I was looking for a dedicated set of steak knives it didn’t take long to hone back in on the brand.Like another reviewer here, I first used these particular knives when eating in a very reputable steak restaurant and immediately knew I wanted a set!These are big chunky knives that feel good in the hand. They’re very light; much lighter than their size would suggest. They are marginally longer than a standard (large) table knife, but about 3-4 times larger in diameter. They feel very good in the hand. Sharp serrated blade with an upturned cutting edge that cuts effortlessly through medium-rare meat.The key aspect of Tramontina knives is the resin-impregnated wood used in the handles. According to Tramontina this is completely dishwasher-safe. It possibly explains the price differential as the wood should last a lot longer following repeated washings. The wooden handles are very well finished and soft-edged in the hand. The stainless steel used in the blades has a high quality shiny finish and looks as though it will last well, too.I bought this set along with a thinner set of 12 knives and forks. These large knives work very well along with the Tramontina forks from the standard set, which are ‘normal’ sized.Summary: An excellent set of knives which do enhance your eating enjoyment. They make cutting good quality meats much easier and are a lovely addition to the table for barbecuing or entertaining.
