This is an incredibly well built and designed pot in stainless steel (not aluminum) from Brazil (not China). One of the best items I've ever bought on Amazon.

Just noticed today the Tramontina 1.5qt I bought awhile ago shows some discoloration, while my Viking pot which got burned twice seems just fine. Also the lid color doesn’t really match to pot. The lid is a bit more shiny. But it works.

I've had a tri-ply 18/10 stainless steel set from Tramontina for nearly 20 years (still looks new) but have always wanted a second really small saucepan. I finally broke down and bought this one and it's better quality (thicker/heavier) than my current set. Particularly pleased with the upgraded lid. It's a good addition.
