J'ai acheté ce traceur GPS quand mon chien à commencé à "partir en chasse" lors des balades. Même en dehors de la ville, la position GPS était assez précise pour la suivre. Points positifs: bonne précision, bonne batterie, accompagne deux attaches pour laisse/harnais (dans le cas de mon chien 10kg, dans le harnais c'était confortable pour elle). App pour le téléhone portable facile d'utilisation, on peut aussi "inviter" une autre personne pour avoir les mêmes accès au traceur, dans le cas où on se retrouverait sans batterie dans le téléphone. Seul "bémol" c'est le fait de devoir payer un abonnement mensuel pour le service, mais cela reste un bon rapport qualité x prix (et soulagement) pour retrouver son chien !

Tolles Teil! Wenn man sich so durch die Welt der Tracker für Hunde arbeitet, scheint es doch schwierig zu sein, brauchbare Tests usw. zu finden, die den Weg zum richtigen Tracker erleichtern. Es scheint nur ausprobieren zu helfen...Nach mehreren Versagern bin ich bei Tractive gelandet. Eigentlich wollte ich keinen Teacker, bei dem ich hinterher noch einen Nutzungsvertrag brauche, der Geld kostet. Letztendlich habe ich es dann doch gemacht, weil die Erfahrungen mit den Vorgängern anderer Hersteller so bescheiden waren. Und es bis heute (über 1 Jahr später) nicht bedauert. Das Teil funktioniert zuverlässig. Macht, was es soll (und der Kundenservice ist auch nett!).Mein Hund hatte den Tracker verloren. Irgendwie hatte sich die Klammer gelöst und war verbogen, als wir sie fanden. KEIN Standard-Problem sagte der Kundenservice. Eine Ersatzklammer wurde umgehend kostenlos rausgeschickt.Wie das passiert ist, lässt sich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Ding sitzt eigentlich bombenfest und übersteht jedes Flitzen und Toben problemlos.Der Tracker ließ sich, da er eingeschaltet war, dann auch schnell finden: in der Bedienung-App gibt’s ein nettes Feature, das einen hohen Ton am Gerät auslöst. So brauchten dem nur noch zu folgen.Klasse ist auch das Lämpchen, das eingeschaltet werden kann! Es beleuchtet zwar nicht gerade den Weg, man findet damit aber seinen Hund im Dunklen.Die App hat noch andere Features, wie einen Virtuellen Zaun bei dessen übertreten eine Meldung ausgelöst wird oder die Richtungsanzeige, wenn man tatsächlich mal seinen Hund suchen muss. Live-Tracking ist auch ein Tool das Spaß macht!Das Gerät arbeitet mit GPS und Mobilfunknetz kombiniert. Bei schlechterem Netz kommen Meldungen manchmal etwas zeitverzögert. Weniger schön... aber vom Mobilfunkanbieter verschuldet.Das einzige, was ich mir wünschen würde, was das Gerät nicht hat, ist die Möglichkeit, einen ausgeschalteten Tracker per App einschalten zu können. Vielleicht wird das ja mal mit aufgenommen. Ansonsten... super! Nur zu empfehlen!

Update 07.06.2019. Just gets better and better. My walks are now stress free as it rarely is without signal, even in the summer months in the woods. Customer Services are excellent and are quick to respond to queries. My unit broke out of guarantee & I was offered a replacement at a discounted rate. Nothing but high praise for the Company.Update 18.10.2018. Review amended to 5 stars. The Customer Service I have received from this company is outstanding. Started having problems with my tracker after 9 months (it has been working brilliantly until then). Got in touch expecting the usual shoddy response you get from companies these days & am highly delighted I got treated impeccably by the adviser & the fault was rectified very quickly with an upgrade to the software sent remotely. No need to send it off. I'm delighted & would have no hesitation recommending this tracker to all my friends (which I have been doing already).Update 10.02.2018. New tracker working great!! Through trial & error I've sussed out if you use the downloaded app in conjunction with the web based app you can pretty much flick between them & one of them will give you the location, give or take a few minutes, bit of a mystery to me why the app can be searching for GPS for a good 20 minutes when the web based screen updates every few seconds, but that may become clear as time goes on. Bit of a faff but at least I know my pooch is on the move & not ready to come back yet. I'm happy again :-)Update 1.02.2018........Hmmmmmm. We appear to have a problem Huston. The tracker worked perfectly for 3 days then zilch. It would work briefly after a systems reset but again freeze, stating 'searching for GPS' for up to an hour on the App. I got 2 locations confirmed on a 1.5 hour walk this morning. I have been walking with my friend who has a Kippy & that tracked perfectly (even in torrential rain a few days ago) so it wasn't down to coverage.Customer Services were not very helpful, stating my tracker on their system had a 98.3% success rate. I wish!! I'm so glad I bought from Amazon. I just clicked on the returns process yesterday & I have a new tracker sitting on my desk today. I have a feeling it would have been a major issue getting this replaced if I had bought direct. Am hopeful it will work but a bit less confidant in it's abilities than I was last week. I'm dreading trying to get my subscription back if it doesn't, have a feeling I'm going to have to write of £55 which is very annoying.The rather expensive tracker (when you include the collar and the subscription) I bought to relieve stress on dog walks has added more stress!!!I've knocked 1 star off the review. I'll update the review as time goes on.....Original Review:The good bits:I'm blown away by the accuracy of this tracker, there's even a little loop where I can see she has done her 'business'. Hahaha. Admittedly, I live in an area with excellent coverage & there's no leaves on the trees yet in the woods where she explores but so far so good!!!It's taken so much stress out of walkies as The Mutt has a tendency to chase deers every so often. I can stand waiting for over an hour getting more & more anxious where she is. Only been using it for a couple of days & she hasn't done a runner yet, but it's in the post & I'm pretty confident I can track her & know she is still moving & has not come to any harm.The reason I've marked it down 1 star is:1) The clip which attaches it to the collar. Many reviews have mentioned this but it is a poor design. 4 shallow clips which can be flipped off with your thumb. If your dog is the type to explore, run fast and rummage it won't keep it attached to the collar. The Company know this, which is why they sell spares & offer insurance for loss when you sign up for the subscription. Such a pointless flaw for an excellent device. I have since purchased the reflective collar to house the tracker more secure, but this was another £25 on top of the cost of the tracker + the subscription & is very wide so probably won't fit the neck of a small dog. It just about fits Poppy's neck (Labrador).2) Even though it's advertised, there is no option to pay monthly for the subscription. I had the idea to pay for 1 month, test if it is suitable then sign up for a couple of years if I am going to keep it. This can't be done. If the tracker is unsuitable you've paid for a year for a product you're going to return. The Company's website says they will refund the subscription back but I've read many reviews to indicate this is not the case & they have not been refunded. It's a bit of a gamble!Overall though, taking into account of the negatives, I am delighted with the actual tracker. Stress free walks and peace of mind are priceless & worth the niggles.

Ich wollte mal einen kleinen Erfahrungsbericht zum GPS Ortungsgerät von Tractive geben. Das Gerät kostet €49,- (die Sondereditionen sehen nur toll aus, bieten aber keinen Mehrwert) dazu kann man zwischen zwei Tarifen wählen. Ein einfacher für €4,99 / Monat empfiehlt sich wenn man es nur sporadische, wie z. B.: im Urlaub nutzt. Wir haben den Premiumtarif mit einem 12 Monatsvertrag gewählt, damit ist das Gerät nicht nur versichert, es lässt sich auch von mehreren Mobilempfängern und durch mehrere Benutzer gleichzeitig aus zugreifen, hinzu kommt die weltweite Abdeckung eine ein Premiumservice der auch den Verlust absichert.Die interne Batterie lädt mit einem besonderen Ladekabel innerhalb von 2 Stunden auf und hält ca. 6 Tage bei 3 Stunden täglich. Niedriger Batteriezustand kommt als Warnung per email. Das Gerät verfügt zusätzlich über einen optisches und akustisches Signal, was sich über die App einschalten lässt. So findet man das vermisste Tier auch Nachts und im dichten Gestrüp - da GPS nur auf 3 Meter genau ist.Befestigt wird es mit einer Klammer (zwei liegen dem Gerät bei) und können am Halsband befestigt werden. Der Clip sieht abenteuerlich dünn aus, ist aber nur einmal verloren gegangen in den letzten 6 Monaten. Darüber hinaus gibt es ein wasserdichtes Halsband in Warnfarben, ist aber extrem breit.Die Ortung geht einfach, egal ob Mobil vom Smartphone oder am PC / Laptop. App aufrufen, einloggen und man sieht die letzte automatisch ausgesendete Position. Wenn man auf LIVE drückt wird nach ca. 10 Sekunden die Position auf einer Landkarte angezeigt. Folgende Modis sind verfügbar: Straßen, Topografie und Hybrid (beides) was mein Favorit ist, da hier auch alle Feldwege angezeigt werden. Auf Wunsch kann auch der Verlauf, zurück gelegte Strecke in Kilometer und Höhe über Normalnull angezeigt werden.Pro und Contra.Gerät ist klein, wasser- & staubdicht, besitzt eine gute Akkulaufzeit und ist wieder schnell aufgeladen. We have two small dogs (20 lb) who mean the world to us. After the gate to our fenced back yard was left open twice, and resulted in extended panicked searching, but fortunately a happy outcome, I vowed to never again know that terror. A tag with phone and address are simply not enough! When a dog is lost, you need to find them fast to prevent them getting hit by a car or another horrible outcome. In our case, we saw a car barely miss our lost, frantic dogs.WHY DID I CHOOSE TRACTIVE? I do research for a living, so I used those skills and researched and compared every tracking product in the market hoping to find a dependable and affordable solution. After reading EVERY review I could find, as well as how each worked, I decided on the TRACTIVE GPS Tracker 2.0 that was available here at Amazon. Since I was taking one of our dogs to a competition within a week, I wanted to have the assurance and peace of mind of having a way to track her if she got out and lost in a strange place. I ordered it with quick delivery.AMAZON HAS MY HEART! As usual, my beloved Amazon was PERFECT! The trackers (2) came through quickly, and Amazon notified me of the package’s progress along the way. I’ve been a Prime member since the first Kindle was introduced, and I love Amazon! I depend on Amazon! If I need ANYTHING, I now search Amazon first because I know I can trust them to deliver on time and back their products! There is NOTHING that compares to Amazon!BUT… THERE WAS A PROBLEM… AND TIME WAS GETTING SHORT! My trackers did not have the US adapter plug. No way to plug them in and charge them! Since they had two different European plug adapters, it was clear that the European version of the Tractive (without US adapter plug) had ended up in Amazon's U.S. distribution channel, and I got one... well, two actually for my two dogs. I contacted Amazon. The lovely customer service lady offered to check for a US version, exchange it, provide a refund...whatever I desired. Since she couldn’t guarantee that another one wouldn’t be missing the US plug as well, and I needed these quickly, I decided to contact Tractive for a possible solution.THE TRACTIVE TEAM IN AUSTRIA HAS BEEN SUPERB! Tractive immediately responded (email) and sent the little adapters I needed via FEDEX express. They apologized. They thanked me. They promised to follow up to determine how the EU version ended up at Amazon USA. They also gave me a simple, easy work around I could use until the plug bits arrived. And when I had a couple of additional questions later, and sent them via email. BAM! Amazingly fast response time! You couldn’t ask for more! They are there for you!WHAT WAS THE WORK AROUND THAT CAN HELP OTHERS? According to Tractive Customer Support …As an emergency solution, you can charge the Tractive with any adapter (e.g. a phone adapter with a USB port) and you can charge it over your PC too. I was so relieved to learn that, as it isn’t in the manual. Really, you should use the Tractive charger set up, but in a pinch… this works!BUT "HOW WELL DOES IT WORK?" YOU ASK. We are still working on reducing the occasional false warnings of the pups leaving the safe zone.... I have it set to be a bit oversensitive... (my choice)... and it works much more precisely outside than inside….but I can tell you this... If my sweet, escape artist, "Houdini Hounds" manage to sneak out of my fenced yard again, or some fool leaves the gate open... I WILL KNOW INSTANTLY! The notifications are quick, clear and perfect. The tracking is GREAT and the maps just beautiful... and kind of fun, too! I live in an area with LOTS of trees... and still get GREAT results! In case you wonder, I have AT&T and mostly have only 2 to 3 bars in my town. Some users point out the unusual pin connections that connect to the charging system. I’ve got no problem with it because using this option is what allows our Tractives to be waterproof… and we tested that, too… but not by design. Our water-loving dog decided to cool off in the pool… for about 20 minutes! When I realized he had the Tractive on, I thought… “OOPS! That will be the end of the tracker… BUT NOPE! It was perfectly fine! Great product! It does what they say! And as for actual tracking, we’ve taken both dogs all over town in the car and then checked the route afterwards…. Incredible! It caught every twist and turn so well that I feel totally confident that I could find our dogs easily with their Tractive tracking device. The charge lasts for a bit more than 2 days, and I usually remove it at night and charge it. If I forget, I do it the next night.Finally, I can't thank the folks at Tractive enough for creating such a wonderful product to help me protect my "fur kids" AND backing it with such STELLAR Customer Service! They have REALLY given me PEACE OF MIND!

Really like this product. It tracks my pet, just as it says it would. I can set a safe zone and receive notification if my pet leaves the safe zone and when he re-enters the zone. Although the product is from Europe, it works very well in cottage country in Ontario. The monitor device is a good size, of course smaller would be better, but it is about the size of a car key fob. It attaches easily to the collar and come with different adaptors for different thicknesses of the collar material. Its a little tricky when changing locations and resetting safe zones but manageable. So far I have been very happy with the device, the tracking and most of all the results..I know where my dog is!
