This thermal cooker is awesome because it allows me to quickly prepare a nutritious meal. I just need to boil some ingredients in the metal pot, then put the pot inside the thermos, close it and voilà. This is great for a daily meal for one person at home ir for a meal to take outside. The thermos keeps it cooking and hot for hours. Highly recommended.

Received the 1.5 liter (bottle-shaped) cooker (from Greenlyfe) only 3 days ago and it is fantastic. Wish I knew about thermal cooking years ago. I use it every day now for healthy, great tasting, budget meals. Serves 2 meals, because it needs to be 80% full in order to cook properly. A money saver for low income budgets. No wasted food now and a big savings in utility bills. After 4 hours, temperature was 180 F. I personally don't like cooking but with spices and creativity, everything has turned out great. I chose this model because it is the closest design to the classic Stanley Nisson Thermos bottle. The outer lid screws on tight to give a secure vacuum seal. My research in the Amazon questions forum has revealed that the 1.5 L sauce pan-design (Shuttle Chef) leaks the heat through the lid handles. Some people prefer the sauce pan style but then complain that it doesn't stay hot. I keep reading posts here that it doesn't come with recipes in English. Yes it comes with 2 books! One appears Japanese language-only on the cover, however it IS bilingual. First half is Japanese, second half is English. People need to flip through the pages halfway for recipes and other instructions. The second book included are recipes from a British cook. You can use your imagination to substitute ingredients for the Japanese shark fin soup (illegal here in USA).This is truly a centuries-old method of cooking combined with excellent high-quality Japanese technology. Manufactured in China, but under strict quality control & Japanese supervision. Yes, all the metal is stainless steel. I am planning to buy this exact model again asap just in case it is discontinued. What a gem of a product. Thank you to the Japanese manufacturer for bringing it to the USA. It is a great and practical way to cook. It is also a great way to bring food to pot luck. No need to worry about spill. I have this for years. Now need to buy an inner pot. Does anyone know where to get it?
