Being a side sleeper, I have suffered from aching ears for many years until I recently purchased the doughnut pillow from PWAH.It must go down as one of my best and favourite purchases. It’s a beautifully made, top quality product and once you’ve made your own personal adjustments to its firmness by easily removing or adding the stuffing, it’s incredibly comfortable. No more aching ears.I also suffer from tinnitus and am certain that the levels of high pitched sound that I get during the night and when waking up in the morning has been reduced due this pillow relieving the pressure on my ears.It’s also small enough to take with you on holiday which is a bonus.I would highly recommend the doughnut pillow to any side sleepers suffering from aching ears.

Very unimpressed, pillow is soft and compresses too much so that the ear sits on the mattress underneath, defeating the purpose. Also no pillowcase included for the price.

After 3 years of sleeping on different memory foam travel pillows due to multiple cartilage piercings in various stages of healing in both ears, I purchased the Doughnut Pillow With a Hole (P.W.A.H.) along with an Original P.W.A.H., intending to see which one I liked best; I loved both and kept both!The Doughnut PWAH is great for placing over a pillow or just for use on its own. I not only use it for travel, but it’s perfect for when I want to lay my head on the arm of my chair and read, watch tv, or take a nap.Actually, both my PWAHs are great for lying on my side to read, nap or watch tv and I love that when I want to lie on my side and read or watch a video on my phone, my earbuds and power beat pros fit into the hole perfectly, in either pillow.The pillow is well stuffed and seems to be made of a nicely woven cotton, comfortable and smooth against my cheek. Its firmness is perfect for me, but it can be adjusted via the zippered opening in the side seam for individualized comfort.Also, the manufacturing company communicates well and seems to genuinely care about their product and about customer satisfaction, which is super impressive!I highly recommend the Doughnut Pillow With a Hole, and the Original Pillow With a Hole, to my friends and to anyone who reads this review.

I'm a side sleeper. Yes, I can sleep on my back, but I'm not as comfy.Sometimes wanting to listen to meditative, guided journeys, or sometimes to block out the world, I have invested heavily in active noise cancellation (ANC) headphones that fit in your ear (side sleeper, yes). That's another story, but hit me up for info if you want the best of the best, and have a budget.No pillow -- I repeat, none -- had allowed me to comfortably sleep on my side, even with the smallest ANC earbuds. Once I think I had an earache for over a day because of the pressure from the earbuds. I thought: and why did I spend so much on the ANC? Finally, whether through frustration of shear need, I came across The Doughnut PWAH. In short: Yes!I knew about having quality products shipped from England: there would be a bit of a wait. All good, as I've been going through this (part of this is insomnia) for many years. The PWAH arrived. At first, I thought it was bit small, but actually not, due to it's design. I also thought it was bit 'firm' at first, but that was only for the first couple of times I used it.Now, I keep it by the bed every night. If, let's say, 'various' indoor or outdoor noises seem a little excessive, or if I just wan to do my meditative work -- anytime of day or night -- it takes but a moment to slap in the ANC earbuds, and go for it with the PWAH. In the short time I've had it, it's made a difference in quality of life. So whether pierced ears (I have a few friends who could use the pillow), ear issues, or earbuds, this specialized pillow has your back; well, your head, actually.
