If you're looking for an exceptional reference book for Illuminated lettering this is it. Absolutely crammed with beautiful examples of the work and all put into historical context, with a ton of information about materials and technique. Absolutely stunning 10 /10.

J'adore ce petit ouvrage . Beaucoup d'exemples originaux très faciles a reproduire pour des enveloppes ou calligraphie enluminées du plus bel effet

All I can say is WOW! This book is beyond what I expected. High quality photos, easy to understand and gives you all the letters in the alphabet for the 3 very detailed designs. Good thing because I have no idea what the author is saying in words because she's obviously a well studied calligrapy artist! That doesn't even matter because all you have to do is look at the pictures, get out your colored pencils and create something beautiful - you can do it, I have and I love what I did. And if you're a professional Calligraphy artist - this book will be right up to par if you're interested in using powdered paint and a whole lot of over-my-head techniques/instruments/gadgets. I recommend this book highly! Also, don't expect that because the description says it's spiral bound that it's the typical "cheesy" floppin' eyesore on your shelf because it is NOT! HIGHEST QUALITY REALLY! I'm so happy I finally bought it!
