This is my first book which I read in Romance Genre. And, I love it. I know it’s very difficult to live in a long distance relationship. I love that part when Rosie cried and Lucas went to Spain. I remembered when I move to another province my Husband and I cried a lot. Because, we did’t have idea when we’ll meet again. So, defiantly, love the story and amazing book.

I don't know how anyone is rating this 4 stars. Maybe I'm just an absolute sucker but this book has immediately gone onto my favorites of all time list.Lucas is the new standard. I don't usually like the more "sunshine-y" male MCs, but dang Lucas is ridiculous. In the best possible way. Every time he talked to Rosie, or went out of his way to make her comfortable, or freakin COOKED FOR HER, I died a little more. The way that he immediately noticed she was uncomfortable with their situation at first won him his first gold star. Something about a guy who respects a girl's boundaries without demanding to know why she is wary-or getting all weird and alpha-is just ridiculously hot. And yes, I know, the bar is in hell. But come on, Lucas cannot exist in real life.He has some very tangible faults though, which I appreciated even more. Without spoiling, I really liked how he was a strong character who had very real insecurities. It made my heart hurt sometimes, but I also understood.Rosie's struggles with her career and responsibilities really hit me hard. It just made sense why Lucas was the one for her. Having always been the responsible, put-together girl, made her falling for Lucas' caring personality a no-brainer.xxx*minor spoiler*: I wish we had gotten more about what exactly her second book was about. I felt like her writing wasn't explored enough, especially since it was pretty much the basis for their experiment. It would've been nice to hear about how her inspiration from Lucas manifested in her novel.xxxokay, rant over.I'm usually a die hard simp for "He falls first" books, so consider me pleasantly surprised. Rosie technically fell first, after all she has been insta stalking him for months (lol); but somehow it felt like Lucas fell just as hard and fast. Their dynamic is unreal-such an amazing balance of respect and care.I saw some reviewers commenting that this book was slow, to which I say: go read from a different author. I'm not saying this book is necessarily realistic, but the two characters actually developed a healthy relationship and FRIENDSHIP first. I love a good short, spicy read too, but this book reads like a real love story.I know we have to anticipate the third act conflict, but it still tugged at my heart. I was so glad to see what came out of this though. The healing both characters underwent by the end made all the tension worth it, and made their relationship seem even more real to me.So to summarize, I didn't say most of what I wanted (the Lina and Aaron cameo, Lucas being the best date planner - AND TACO

Did I smash the book across the room by the end? Yes.Did I doubt my sanity throughout the book? Yes.Did I expect more because of the first book (which was btw *mwah* 🤌)? Yes.The reviews? What?!Did I read the same book as you?😤 I need to calm down to write a review....•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Although our MC had a nice or even funny beginning/ introduction at first, they only got more and more annoying from page to page. As others already wrote, I could not fetch the chemistry between those two. On other hand, they were adorable with the fake dating scenes: those were one of my highlights. Just I thought, it was getting finally a turnaround: Nope. Nothing. Nada. There are some swoon-worthy scenes, but the overall plot is so dry and nothing happens other than all the predictable tropes. Further than that, the pace is getting a little better from about 70-80%. And even after that amazing scene with the restaurant and glasshouse/rooftop, everything goes down. Again.Oh, and don't forget about the slow pace/slow burn romance though, which did get frustrating.Never in my life, have I had such a book where I would reach through the pages to smack the hell out of those characters. Did I mention that my eyes hurt from all the eye rolls? What hurts me most, is that I really liked The Spanish Love Deception and had high expectations. This book was definitely one of my highly anticipated releases, so yeah, I was and am still disappointed. Unfortunately, it was a waste of time and money (ouch, that hurt).Last but not least I hate how it seems to be a theme, to have sex without a condom in romance books: even when they're clean and on the pill 😤

To me the gettingnto know each other phase felt far too sudden and too... "He's perfect and I secretly love him" and just too much at once. But I do have to say I disn't realise there was another book. Maybe the characters are introduced with more subtlety there, even though they don't seem to be the main characters. At this point not sure I will keep reading. Loved the first scene but the second being THAT swooning without much personality is just not to my personal taste.

the story was a bit chaotic for me.I loved the first book of the author and I'm sure I'll read following books. But this one: I missed that all the stories in this book were good linked. The romantic idea of the story otherwise I loved..

Have you ever read a book that felt like a giant, warm hug? 🥰Meet the most loveable characters of all time - Rosie and Lucas. Rosie is Lina’s best friend, who has recently quit her well-paid job to pursue a career as a romance writer. Lucas is Lina’s cousin (and Rosie’s secret crush!), who is on a solo-traveling adventure in the States. Unknowingly, they both end up crashing at Lina’s place, who is away on her honeymoon with her gorgeous husband, Aaron Blackford (TSLD fans, where you at?). 😏💕 I wholeheartedly adored Rosie in TSLD, and I knew she’d get her own story. She’s independent, compassionate, witty and so darn relatable with her “I can handle it”, ‘I’m fine” attitude while her life is crumbling all around her. She tries not to inconvenience anyone, and is very loyal. I related to her fears, insecurities, and her personality in general, and loved seeing her become more bold and confident as the story progressed. ☺️💕 Lucas. Lucas Martin. LUCAN DAMN MARTIN! He’s the most genuine, trustworthy and the sweetest main character with the biggest cinnamon roll energy. 🍩“I live to make you swoon.” 💓 Okay, sir.I adored him to the core, and I would honestly love to be his best friend! Did I mention, he cooks? Aaron Blackford, who? 🙈💕 Apart from the characters, I felt this story was so much better than its predecessor, and its evident how much thought and heart Ms. Armas put into writing it. It had all the elements of a romcom without making it repetitive, and I loved how organically the friends-to-lovers trope was handled.💕 If you’ve read TSLD before, you’d appreciate the cameos from Lina and Aaron, and love their roles in the story. 😌So, if you’re looking for a cozy read with swoony, fun romance, I’d highly recommend this one! 🥺💗PS. Run, don’t walk to your nearest bookstore! ✨

SLOW BURN OMG. The story is inspiring in many ways like all the characters. Like Spanish Love Deception, you’ll laugh and smile as you read.
