The TechRise Waterproof Rain Poncho is a practical 3-in-1 solution suitable for outdoor enthusiasts. It functions as a poncho, picnic blanket, or emergency shelter. Made from durable waterproof material, it provides good coverage while remaining lightweight and easy to pack. The hood and adjustable design help keep you dry in moderate rain. It's one-size-fits-most, so it may be bulky for smaller users. Ideal for hiking or camping, especially for unexpected weather changes. Reusable and dries quickly.

I travel quite a bit and like to carry a waterproof coat should I get caught in rain. It means I also don't have to carry around a lumpy umbrella. The beauty of this poncho is that it pretty much goes over whatever you're wearing, from shorts and t-shirt to suit and tie. It's better quality than I expected and I've used it in a shower already and the water just ran off it keeping me dry. Proof will be in longevity but we'll see how that goes.

I ordered this to keep in my work bag so that when it starts to rain I can pop it on and keep dry if I am out and about at the time. I've never had a poncho before this one so was curious to see how it performed so I had to wait for just over a week before the opportunity arose to go out for a walk in the rain.I have to say that I was nery pleasantly surprised at just how dry the poncho kept me. I live on the west coast of Scotland where horizontal rain is a pretty good indicator that you are in the height of summer. Now although the rain I tested the poncho in wasnt anywhere near as grim as it can get here it was much more than a shower and there was a light wind blowing at the same time so it did get a pretty good test.By its nature the poncho is a loose fitting garment and it is the folds of material that protect you from the rain - it is effectively a sheet with a hole in the centre which you pop your head through and contrary to my expectations, I was kept completely dry, Despite there being no real fastening (aside from a couple of side buttons) it feels much more like a coat than I tohought it would with the folds creating the 'sides'. On me the ponch comes down to half way up my lower leg but I am 5'8 so if you are taller (or shorter) this will obviously differ for you.The material is what I'd call standard for pack away rain coats so its not really heavy duty in the sense that it would be an item you'd wear every day but it is more than durable enough for periodic use.At £15 I think the price is reasonable for the poncho.

So I was expecting a relatively thin, plasticky feeling and almost disposable type rain poncho, and what I got was a very decent quality tarp with a head hole and hood in the middle! This prepper's gem of an item is super versatile and adaptable. It comes in a nice drawstring bag to keep it stowed tidily away, but in seconds I've got myself a really effective rain poncho, makeshift shelter, or ground mat.The material is lightweight and although polyester has a nice texture that wasn't the plastic feel I was expecting. When I first opened it, it did have the same smell I'd associate with a blow-up bed, but this soon faded. The material also has a cross-hatched ripstop type weave into it to increase durability. As a poncho I've found it great. It's fairly big so will fit most people and cover a large rucksack. There are poppers down both sides so you can close it up and help keep out the wind and rain. The peaked hood is comfortable and can be tightened with a drawstring. As a poncho it won't be as completely impenetrable to the elements as some other garments by nature of its relatively open arms and bottom, but it still does a good job of keeping the rain out. As a poncho, top marks, but it doesn't end there...When opened up this becomes a fully functional tarp, albeit it has a (closeable) hole in the middle. The poncho has reinforced eyelets in each corner meaning it can be strung up as a small makeshift shelter. This isn't huge, but might be enough in a pinch to keep a person protected from rain and exposure. When laid flat, it also acts as a nice waterproof ground mat or picnic blanket.I'm really impressed with this. The compact size when folded means I've been able to throw it in my rucksack and have it to hand when I'm out-and-about in case I'm caught in an unexpected downpour. It'd also be great for a get-home bag, or to keep tucked away in the car for an emergency.
