Wenn in einem 2025 neu vorgestellten NAS der Plus-Serie von Synology, wie der DS925+ nicht zertifizierte Laufwerke stecken, verliert das Gerät einige wichtige Funktionen.Mit anderen Worten: Man muss ohne jeden Mehrwert die teuren Synologyfestplatten kaufen um alle beworbenen Funktionen nutzen zu können!Ansonsten gibt es keine nennenswerten Pluspunkte zu den älteren Hardwarerevisionen. Vor allem die seit bald einer Dekade unveränderte USB- und RAM Ausstattung enttäuscht mich wirklich. Mit der inzwischen nicht mehr angebotenen Video Station ist ein weiteres Pro-Argument entfallen. Ich habe - auch aufgrund der bescheidenen Endkundenunterstützung - den Eindruck, das Privatkunden inzwischen nicht mehr zur wirklichen Zielgruppe gehören.

Be informed that this NAS only accept Synology hard drive. So if you plan to migrate WD or Seagate they will not work. Please review nas compare for more info. Not mentioning the overly price for what you get ... 4G memory and 2.5G ethernet ... really ???

The 'Buy it With' section of this product suggests it is compatible with Seagate Ironwolf Drives. IT IS NOT. The unit refuses to recognise these Seagate drives. Downloading an offline update file doesn't work either, as it always says the file is corrupt when trying to update. Having played with the device, wasted time on the Synology website (which makes technical support almost impossible), and read numerous chat rooms, I am no further forward than the web screen which says 'Unrecognised Drives Detected' and can go no further. Sending back for a refund.
