I wish these weren't neccessary but due to health issues, they are. I had stopped going into pools just in case of suddenly needing to use the bathroom and not being able to get there quite in time. With these, I was able to take them on a cruise and not worry. They were comfortable and fit well. I'm 5ft 1 and around 160 with hips and these were fine for me.The only thing you will need to take into account is that you need a swimsuit or swim bottoms that have enough coverage in the lower area. I opted for swim shorts with a swim top so that the Swimmates weren't peeking out along the seems of the swimwear.
