Auch das Weitwinkelobjektiv mit 75 Grad Sichtfeld ist sehr praktisch, um einen größeren Bereich abzudecken.Die Kamera ist UVC-konform, was bedeutet, dass sie ein echtes Plug-and-Play-System für PC-Computer, Laptop und Raspberry Pi ist und mit Windows, Linux, Mac OS und Android-Systemen kompatibel ist. Die Installation ist sehr einfach und schnell erledigt, ohne dass zusätzliche Treiber benötigt werden. Auch die unterstützten Auflösungen und Bildraten sind sehr gut und bieten viele Möglichkeiten für unterschiedliche Anwendungen.Die Verarbeitung der Kamera ist sehr solide, und das Kabel ist lang genug, um sie flexibel positionieren zu können. Die Kamera ist sehr robust und kann in vielen engen Positionen eingesetzt werden. Die kleine Größe von 38mmx38mm (oder 32mmx32mm) ist ein weiterer Vorteil, da die Kamera in fast allen Situationen Platz findet.Ich muss jedoch auch einige Punkte erwähnen, die mich dazu bewegt haben, keine volle Sternezahl zu vergeben. Zum einen ist der Preis etwas höher als bei anderen Webcams auf dem Markt. Auch wenn die Qualität der Kamera gut ist, ist der Preis für einige Kunden möglicherweise ein Hindernis. Wer sich eine solche Kamera bestellt, hat damit immer eine Speziallösung vor Augen, die von einer reguläre Webcam nicht so Recht erfüllt werden kann, aus welchen technischen Gründen auch immer.Die Kamera ist sofort einsatzbereit, das USB Kabel ist auf der Rückseite der Platine steckbar bereits montiert. Die Bildschärfe ist faszinierend. Die Bilder sind sehr klar und deutlich, wie eine beiliegende Nahaufnahme zeigt.Einziger Wermutstropfen ist, dass im Auslieferungszustand das Objektiv am Gewinde mit dem Gegengewinde auf der Platine verklebt ist. Zum Glück handelt es sich um eine Art Heißkleber, so dass dieser Klebstoff mit einer scharfen Skalpellklinge mit einigen Mühen dann doch entfernt werden kann. Im Auslieferungszustand beträgt die kürzeste Entfernung ca. 20 cm, geht man näher an das Objekt heran, wird es unscharf. Auch bei großen Entfernungen kann man mit einer manuellen Nachjustierung noch etwas an Bildschärfe herausholen. Es ist unklar, warum man gerade bei einer Kamera für Bastelprojekte den Nutzer erst einmal auf einen bestimmten Arbeitsabstand festlegt.Auf jeden Fall erhält man eine hochauflösende Kamera, die extrem scharfe Bilder liefert und bei entsprechender Objektiveinstellung auch für Nahaufnahmen sehr gut geeignet ist.

I've worked with many ELP cameras, and I know they consistently provide high quality products. This module is no exception.A little bit about construction:The camera module has your typical hole spacing for 38x38mm modules. The module can replace any other modules of the same design. The camera modules runs at about 105F while displaying the 16MP image. This is a little warm, but can be reduced with a simple heat sink. There are no blinking lights when this module is capturing data or any other visual indicators. Personally, I prefer it that way. The product arrives in focus, but the lens is glued in place. If you need to adjust those focus for a different distance, you'll have to peal off the glue. I have no clue why they did that.Programming:Like other ELP products, the programming in this module is well done. The user has the ability to adjust all of the basic settings including: exposure, brightness, contrast, backlight compensation, saturation, hue, gamma, and white balance. The module allows for a 500ms exposure, and that is "acceptable." I would have preferred a 1 second exposure at a minimum. The product does allow for mjpeg and yuy2 compression formats.Performance:The modules makes good on its exposure settings and frames per second. This is no surprise considering that manufacturer. However, the product performance at 16MP is below average. To get the most out of this camera module, it should be coupled with good image processing software. Think about how your cell phone camera stacks a bunch of images or "processes" it to make a grainy photo look smooth. On its own, there is too much noise to make good use out of 16MP video or stills. The exception to this is if the camera modules is used in very bright settings like a bright summer day. You must increase the signal to combat the signal to noise ratio.Aside from the 16MP performance, this camera modules actually does really well on the 4MP setting. Video image and still photos look great! This is actually the default setting for the camera module. For most projects, I would use this product on the 4MP setting. The frame rate with the 4MP setting is still a little on the slow side, so this could be a limiting factor for projects.One of the issues a user may run into with this camera module is its poor sensitivity. The pixels on this product are very small. Small pixels = Less Sensitivity. The image is quite dim on the faster frame rate settings. To compensate for the dim image, you can increase the exposure to 500ms, but there goes your frame rate.Because the frame rate of this product is so low, It will not be the ideal video imager. This product will work great for creating still images. It will produce amazing images while using image stacking processing or live stacking technology.Overall, purchasing this camera means you have some very specific purposes for it. It has low sensitivity, slow frame rates, but the ability to create very large images. I highly recommend stacking software to accompany this camera module. If you plan on using this module in this manner, it gains my recommendation.

The installation was easy, just plug in and go. However, there are no settings to change anything. You can't adjust any of the brightness or white balance in the native Windows Camera. Typically it is available, but with this one it isn't. You can't manual adjust the focus as it is glued in place, which might be a good thing, unless you are trying to focus up close. The picture seems sharp, but without a really bright environment it is hard to really tell. The cable is hardwired on, so you better put some strain relief on it. As you can tell by the pictures, there is no case, so everything is exposed, a case will be required for pretty much any application you chose. So, 3 stars due to the issues I have. You might be able to clear everything up and make it work better for you, but it's an "meh" from me.

I picked this up as part of a deepstack facial recognition door bell project I'm playing around with and it's been working great during testing.No issues with it disconnecting randomly on my pi zero like the previous webcam I had been using. I suspect from power draw issues maybe.This is a basic camera module with an adjustable focus lens, and a very wide angle. That worked out perfect for me, since it can see either side of the door and sidewalk from the vantage point.Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to use it was a webcam or something along those lines.It will be able to see an entire room if it's placed in the corner.Pretty happy with it! I think having some housing options or exact specs to cad your own would be helpful, but it has a pretty standard shape I'm learning.Great and a nice long cable, but easy to access solder points and connection if you want to build your own for stuffing into a tiny box for example.
