Warum zugfest?
Ihr Haus oder Gewerbeobjekt verliert bei kaltem Wetter Wärme teilweise aufgrund schlechter Wärmedämmung, aber auch aufgrund der Luftleckheit des Gebäudes. Dieser Warmluftverlust ist technisch bekannt als Infiltration oder Durchlässigkeit und wird in Metern pro Stunde pro Quadratmeter Bodenfläche gemessen. Ein typisches Gebäude, das 1900 bis 1990 gebaut wurde, verliert pro Stunde ca. 20-30 Kubikmeter Luft pro Quadratmeter Bodenfläche. Dies liegt an der natürlichen Leckage durch das Gewebe des Gebäudes, aber weitgehend durch Lücken an Fenstern und Türen. Eine gute Verwendung von Zugluftschutz könnte Ihre Luftdurchlässigkeit auf ca. 8-10 Kubikmeter pro Stunde reduzieren, was eine gute kostengünstige Möglichkeit ist, Ihre Heizkosten zu senken. Die Menge an Luft in Ihrem Grundstück hängt auch von seiner Exposition gegenüber Wind ab. Wenn Sie also auf einem Hügel oder in der Nähe der Küste sind, ist es noch vorteilhafter, wenn Sie eine gute Zugluftsicherung haben.

You could really notice the difference once this was installed, but within a few hours the strip had come unstuck and fell off when you opened the door

I bought a couple of these in July 2023 and I'm about to buy two more (i.e. repeat customer). Within a few days the tape fell off the painted door frame and I had to use a separate glue to refix them. Otherwise it seems to work. Visible light and draughts are significantly reduced. I'm not so sure about sound, but it's very very difficult to reduce sound effectively when there's a doorway.As shown in the sales picture my recollection is that the tape comes as 2x 3m, lightly attached along its length. You can easily split it - but just bear in mind it's not 1x 6m.Update June 2024. I did buy some more, and the same criticism about the stickiness (or lack of it) applies. While they will stick on initially, I've had to reattach the strips using glue as they are just not sticky enough of themselves to stay in place for any meaningful length of time

Absolute waste of money, does not stick to anything f*****g pointless, was really relying on this would have been better shoving wet toilet paper in the gap for all the good this has done.EDIT: Since taking a second look at it, it seems when I pulled the backing tape off it it pulled off the entire strip of double sided tape.

Even after cleaning the surface, then wiping it with isotropic alcohol and sleeping it to try, this stuff wouldn't adhere. Could have been a dodgy batch I guess but it keeping a bin bag wind free at the moment.
